Girl Scout Cookies by FastBuds Indoor Grow

She is looking mighty fine mate .

Today she is 52 days old. Aaannnnndddd, the yellow leaves and brown spots have returned. I thought going to a different soil mix and improving the indoor grow environment would remedy this persistent problem with my indoor grows. I’m dechlorinating the water, I’m maintaining good temps and humidity, not over/underwatering. Don’t believe I’m overdoing it with nutrients as I used Recharge & molasses once in veg and once in flower a week ago. Top dressed once with DTE Fishbone Meal at end of week 3 in veg, Fed two aerated compost teas the last one this past Friday on day 49. Compost tea with higher amounts of phosphorous for the flowering stage. About 12 to 15 leaves turned yellow and have brown spots on them. Lower and middle of plant. I have a Six Shooter by FastBuds growing outside and has had pretty much the same watering and feeds as this Girl Scout Cookies grow. Other than being a bit short the Six Shooter is doing great with no issues or deficiencies at this point. So... moved the Girl Scout Cookies outside with the Six Shooter. Hoping with natural sunlight and outdoor air it will stay the course to finish. Pics on Friday at day 56.

Day 56 today, 8 Weeks in. I moved her outside this past Monday. Started seeing the yellowing of leaves with some brown spots. A week later than 3 previous grows but I attribute it to the fact that I had them in Solo cups for 10 days before transplanting into final 5 gal pot. So, about 7 weeks in the pot and the issues started...again. Even with different soil and better control of the grow environment, still having the same issues at about the same time, i.e., two weeks in flower. Since the Six Shooter outdoor grow is not having issues, I moved this girl outside. We will be having a couple of days in the mid 80's then about a week of mid to high 90's next week. Humidity is still low at around 12%. Hoping the direct sunlight and outside air will help. Watering about every 3 days. Was going about 4 to 6 days but since she is in flower and outside now that she is drinking up the water. Buds are starting to stack up. Just a little bit of smell but I don't see any frost yet.

Day 63. 9 weeks old from sprout. This grow went from being an indoor grow to an outdoor grow. Leaves continue to yellow and curling up at the ends and crisping up. Fed a compost tea this past Monday and watered this morning. Still looking a little droopy but should perk up in a couple of more hours. Will have to start watering every 3 days. Temp this afternoon supposed to hit about 101º with the RH at around 12%. We will be in the triple digits now until around the end of September, beginning of October. Summertime sucks here. Lots of buds and they are starting to stack up. Starting to see frost on them. Smell is starting to get stronger as well. Watering takes about 1 gal. I water until I get a little runoff then let the pot sit and soak it up before putting the pot lifter back under it. Was wondering if I should continue to feed compost tea every other week or just water at this point. I don't know how many more weeks I have left at this point. Not sure what is causing the yellowing, end curling and crispy tips. Too much phosphorous? I don't know. The compost tea recipe I'm using is: 3 gallons dechlorinated and PH'd tap water, 3 tbls blackstrap molasses, 1 cup worm castings, 1tbls kelp meal, 1 tbls alfalfa meal, 1/2 tbls seabird guano, 1/2 tbls bat guano. Aerated for 36 hours. On my past 3 indoor grows it looked like I had phosphorous deficiencies after a couple of weeks into flowering. With this compost tea I shouldn't be short of P and K.

Day 80 a little over 11 weeks. Things are not looking too good. Really high temps the past couple of days, i.e., 103º to 113º yesterday. Humidity less than 10%. Been watering every 2 to 3 days. Moved plant so that it gets early morning sun and then shade around 1pm until evening. Had some yellowing of leaves since moving outdoors. Fed some compost teas up until about two weeks ago then just water with a little cal/mag every other watering. I did top dress with some NLS Girl Flower Power that I had about 10 days ago and then things went downhill fast. Checked what little trichomes I could see with a scope and they are about 1/3 amber. So I cut her down today and started the drying process (even though it looks like it started on it's own...:eek1:). Not sure how good it will be but I spent a lot time and effort with her so I'm going to give it shot. Next outdoor grow may be in middle of Oct. when temps drop down and again around Feb. Arizona's summer temps are not conducive to growing outdoors in pots. I really wasn't expecting much because of the timing of these grows but thought I would give it a try to see what happens. Now I see and it's not good.

Time for a break. Growing and taking care of these plants is like having a pet. Can't go on a short vacation or anything because the needs of the plants. Breathing room. I'll try again later in the year.
