Mephisto Genetics Tyrone Special K.I.S.S grow journal

I decided to go ahead and FIM my midnight express. Its a sativa dominant auto

You are gonna love it, two colas are better than one. Although, I am still learnin'.
FIMming is easy to do, but really hard to photograph, just sniping one little piece out of the growing tip.
Please share some photos if you can.

This first pic was taken right after I did it and the following pics are aftermath. Pistils started to show, bud sites started to come in, bottom growth started to show progress, plant started to get taller and it smells like chocolate. Seriously. Notice where the plant is in reference to the pot in the first pic and compare it to the second and so on. These pictures were taken on consecutive days. Crazy growth!!!

Very interesting, you are mixing FIM and LST and it is working well for you. Do you have a plan or do you make it up as you go along like me?

I will be watching your Journal, I want to hear more about that Chocolate smell. I hope the wizards at Mephisto release chocolate Varieties. I know some nice women who would lose their minds for rich chocolate flavored THC vapor.

Man just feeling the vibes. This express became my throw away plant. Just was not thriving like I wanted it to inside. Outside, the leaves are always perky. Trimmed off some of those baby leaves (majority of the plant) it grew taller, then FFIMMd, it grew taller now I just need these bud sites to fatten. She has also had some insect problem like you mentioned before but it's not getting worse. Thanks for the rep man. Not trying to hijack the thread but, people need to hear about FIMMING, topping LSTng autos. Some people speak against but I really feel like people are going off what they've heard and not what they have done themselves. Two youtube videos and a grow journal aren't going to set something in concrete especially with the wide variety of strains, nutrients, lighting, and every other variable you can possibly think of.:d5:

Exactly, I read so much misinformation about Topping and FIMming that I figured there was a 50% chance I was killing my girls!
Some people are very willing to offer their fantasy opinions as facts and write lots about something they never tried. They had me bullshitted. My hand was shaking when I made that first cut, but it was so worth it. I was also cutting through the myths and layers of bad info about growing this charming plant.

You and your photos are welcome here, glad to seed your success with FIMming.
Now that you understand it, do you think ANY cannabis plant would die just from FIMming done correctly?

Why would it die if done correctly? That seems like a ridiculous notion considering FIM'n is rather well accepted technique. I FIM'd my 4 current Mephisto babes and they all look great. Who is giving you your info?

I'm growing some Tyrone's too, haven't given any thought to fimming them. But if you guys want some fimming info @faded187 has got it down to a science. My eyesight sucks but I have tried wound up being a topping lol.

I still don't like the idea of fimming an auto. Lst training or even just some leaf tucking will get u nice results. The life span is so short really aggressive stuff like topping and fimming might do more harm than good

Hey Johnnyshake, I agreed with you 100%, now that I have a little more experience.

Before this grow I bought into the myth that Autos are delicate plants that could be upset if their express train schedule is disrupted, they could hermie or even die. Maybe I am just gullible.
I thought supercropping might be dangerous too, ha!

When you are a new grower there is so much info to soak up. A new grower doesn't have the experience to recognized writers who are "full of shit". Before a new grower drops that first seed everybody has more experience and seems like an expert.

Let's find out.

I have severely abused these two plants, but they recover fast and keep growing.
Will I still get a decent yield, or have I done more harm than good?
I think it will turn out pretty good with a respectable yield of all colas.
But I still don't understand senescence of Auto flowers, does trauma delay flowering and lengthen their lives?
These girls seem to be flowering densely right on schedule.

Hey Mephisto, have I voided the warranty? LOL
