Mephisto Genetics Tyrone Special K.I.S.S grow journal

Day 41 Epicormic shoots. It basically means stuff growing out of the stalk instead of the growing tips. Big words for small egos.
Lots of foliage disappeared and now the plant is trying to compensate.

Anyhow, I got 'em:

One on each side of the stalk. And if you look close they are flowering!!!
That surprised me, microbuds.

Some growers on AFN prune aggressively, but I searched AFN and didn't find any talk about this.
Does everybody get these?

Beautiful pics, the macros of the trics got me drooling… Yep i've had 'em.

AutoXtreme i ripped the side branch off and tied it back on…double the thickness of the unsnapped side, and there is the tiny bud, just like yours.

Keep the pics coming they are amazing.

Ive had that on my past three autos and I don't prune anything. I was beginning to think its normal lol I guess not

Hey Hubbabubba can we get a full shot of Tyrone please

I think this photo at day 43 is a little better, 8 out of 10 colas are visible
8 colas.jpg

4 of the colas in front belong to short Tyrone (45cm) that was topped harshly, they are shorter and less frosty.
The 6 colas on tall Tyrone (55cm) that was lightly topped (almost FIMed) are taller, thicker, frostier.
Same container, nutes, and light intensity...so maybe the harsh topping stunts the plant, the colas, and trichomes. :crying:

You can really see the difference between 7,5 and Your 15 liters bro.

Stacking / swelling quite a bit more, very interesting to see / follow.

Mine are also close to completely untouched, only did a light buttom trim at day #35.

There are so many factors, and you might have a different phenotype.

I am growing 2 Tyrones in one 15 liter container, so they are getting about 7 liters each.

I put the lights close enough to see some bleaching... then back off a few centimeters. The top layer of leaves are getting all the light they tolerate, I think that helps. Side lighting or bottom lighting would help too, but I am lazy.

Adding silicon for the first time seemed to accelerated CO2 use for a day. I don't understand why. But using more CO2 is a definitely a good thing. I should have been using Silicon from day one.

Yesterday they got watered with 4 liters, and they used less CO2. That surprised me. I will test it again, but wet roots from over watering seemed to slow the plants. Moist soil is good, wet is bad. I don't want anything slowing them now!
They are "on a mission"
