Just don't plant too close to the pine trees! Something to do with the needle drop ... raises or lowers ph if I remember correctly! Plus, it could affect the taste of your weed!
Yea I know I've grown in pines for years. Luckily during the summer the needles don't fall off. But in fall it's somthing to watch out for. But I'll take the pines over the helicopters everyday lol.
Yea that was my first thought. This is a deer paradise. I put up game cameras to see what activity it has I'll check them before planting there. But there's nobody even realitivly close to the spot and it's litterally in the middle of a swamp. I had a hard time getting to it. I'm using boards to walk on the get to it. But still you never know.
I had to check my meters bc it was so low and perfect I didn't believe it. But I'm in a area that's loaded with limestone that the springs filter through. It's like a natural RO filter almost.

I know it's not environmentally safe or friendly, but I use to place moth balls on the perimeter to deter deer, rabbits and even snakes! I also use to pee and leave human hair for the same effect!
The deer aren't what I'm worried about as much as mice and other rodents. The bears get into them though as well. I'm more worried about somone knowing it's there and using it as a hunting spot. Deer would be more interested in the clover and the Apple tree I think but you can never be too careful. Also I piss around the site every time to keep them away. I like to drink a few beers and sit and admire my work from time to time and mark my territory b4 I leave lol.
