New Grower Two kilos minimum?

Hi everyone I ain't been on here in months I've grown once it was 6 plants all in 1 small tent under a 250 watt light and had to take them down 2/3 weeks early as you guessed it didn't turn out that well got about 4 oz dried it was auto cheese from royal queen seeds anyway I'm back and planing a little project basically I want to make sure I grow minimum two kilos (dried) so it lasts me the year without having to grow again I know its going to be hard but I'm going to make sure I do it right this time I'm going to be growing auto ultimate as I've heard its a nice strain and puts out big yields basically I'm asking for someone that has experience how much plants will I need to grow for this amount and what's the best equipment do I need tents? Or can I do it without? How much lights will I need? What watt? How much will this grow cost? And how much space will I need? I'm sorry its a lot to ask but I would be greatly thankful for someone to try to explain! Lol thanks and hope everyone's keeping well

80x80 with 250W HPS will NOT lead to 1 kilo dry. Never.
You'll need 1000W HPS, 2x600W or maybe more. And waaaay bigger tent.

Well I've only grown once and that was soil I sopose I will go with what's the easier option what do you recommend for less stuff to go wrong soil or hydro? Will a grow tent this measurements do 1.2/2.4/2.0 with two 600watt lights ? Seen one at a good price on eBay I think 350 pounds and growing photos is something I don't think I would be good at lol

With that set up, you'd have a shot at your goal at least. Might take a few grows worth of experience before you do, however.

Everyone grows differently, even those with good knowledge, experience and a good dose of luck would love to be able to say they will pull 2 kilo's

That said, it is possible, but it would necesitate (in my opinion) good equipment, tent(s), Lights, filters, autopots or such like...

2 x Lumatek Ultimate Pro 600w 400V ballasts, bulbs + 2 air sealed Xl reflectors Lights alone could cost you close on £600.00

Add other equipment like tent(s) temp/fan speed controllers, fans, filter, etc, I would look at a budget of around £1500.00 minimum setup cost.

I recently did a similar exercise, but also added a humidifier & dehumidifier as well as some extra LED fill Light, and spent around £2000.00, I admit this may seem "expensive" to some, but the setup is 100% as I want it and works and grows well.

It then depends on method, type and strain of plants, feed and skill.

Assuming that you can pull 5 oz per plant (which is a bit of an ask - even when dialled in), you'll need to grow 14 AUs.

Each AU will require about 2feet(squared) so not to cram them ontop of each other and risk mold appearing everywhere.

I image you'd need about 2000w + or LED equivelent evenly spread across the 56 feet of floor space needed.

Hydro when dialled in will yeild greater. - Changing 14 buckets a week for 12 weeks doesnt sound fun - sounds heavy work (and expensive)

Soil watering every couple of days - especially in flower - you'll need a lot of bottles ... 7-10 5 litre bottles. And the nute mixing - oh lord!

I'd perhaps think about 2 grows a year - or scaling down and going perpetual.

Oh my it does seem hard work when use put it like that lol I might aim abit lower but minimum 1 kilo dry as I smoke an oz or 2 a week its going to be smoked very quickly lol so yeah I think I'm just going to go for the setup I seen on amazon and with the x2 600 watt lights and then maybe add another light? What sort of monthly electric will that much lights cost? And carbon filter / fan ect? Thanks everyone for your advice PS great setup frogster! Im just not doing the best for money atm lol
