Indoor Tropical Outdoor: White Widow Max, AK47, Cheese, Great White Shark, Northern Lights

Back to fog and rain..............

After a visit late yesterday, she's still fattening up.
Nothing like a nice indoor NL main cola at all, haha, but really not too bad. Maybe a 1/2 oz if I'm lucky.

Still wondering when to harvest.
There may be a couple of nicer sunny days early next week, and I may take that opportunity.
Let her have a last sun bath, then...
nos vemos más tarde cariño!
Hehehehe.....

Love and hugs,
Maria

Thanks, @budelee !
Not bad, but soooooooooooo far from what I want, haha.

Young Miss Northern Lights is now maturing a bit quicker than I thought.
Just a couple of white pistils still out, most are already brown.
Still pretty sh!tty weather, and I'm out for a few days over the weekend.
Not sure if I should harvest her before I leave, or wait until I return.

Meanwhile............ my house mate's gardening plans are going crazy!
So I told her I'd help set up some grow lights for her veges, hahahaha!!!
My perfect way to get an indoor grow space together without arousing suspicion.
Perfect!!

Now just trying to figure out what kind of light to buy.
I want the best light, at the cheapest price, haha. Such a miser....
And there are soooooo many different LED grow lights around here,
many of them super cheap, but probably super crap quality too.

Day 72

Northern Lights

May be the last photos (some duplicates) in the sun before harvest.
As you can see, her flowering is really at an end now.
Just checking this thread, she went outside to 13/11 now 11/13 hrs on Sept 1.
So, that makes it 51 days to today, seven weeks and a bit.
Sounds about right for NL strains, and even before Sept 1 there were a few days with 13/11 or so.
Seven and a half (52 days) to eight weeks (56 days), NL standard I think.

Would have been nice to add something for size comparison.
But... the top cola is a little less than 8" = 20cm long.
Some of the side lateral buds are 2"x1" = 5x2.5cm long.
The pot doesn't normally sit next to this drain.
I just put it there for better photo angles and visibility.
Photos are just with my phone camera, so not ideal, but still passable.

Smell -- nice ripe NL smell, fairly typical.
Not "stinky" or very strong, but again typical of NL.

Ideally I'd do some more harvest shots, maybe after removing the fan leaves.
But in reality, I'll probably harvest under cover of darkness, so no photos.

Love and hugs,
Maria

Did the harvest cut at dusk yesterday.
It was a little bit wet outside.
But, as I'm out for the weekend, I didn't have the option to wait.
Here are a couple of shots.

I took off the main fan leaves on site, and trimmed a little the secondary fan leaves.
I have found a great place to dry --
it's a document cabinet with circulating air and low humidity to protect important documents.
Really need that for the climate around here.
So they're in a paper bag in the cabinet.

Once they are close to finished, I'll trim the leaves down a bit more.
I always find it's good to leave them on during drying to kind of protect the inner buds.

Would really prefer to cut the whole plant and hang upside down in a nice place.
But I really don't have that option in my present position.

Drying update....

So, more bad news...
As was out for the weekend, although I put those buds in a nice drier cabinet,
coming back I find them covered in a lot of bud mold.

Oh, sh!t, why does all this crap happen to me??

Have aired them, but wondering what the solution is to save as much as possible.
Any tips from the pros?
I know most of you will say "Throw the lot".

PS: The Cheese smoke is really very nice!
A couple of fat bowls and we're set for the evening.

oh rats. I wish I could offer some advice for you. I would think, if it isn't covered completely, you may be able to salvage some. If you can salvage any, I would definitely trim it up, to avoid extra moisture.
