Transitioning to Organic

EOF

While I am at it, do you have any thoughts on late flower bulking up? Strategies or tips are gladly considered and incorporated into the program.

All caught up. It was a great read. I Really like your personality Pudden.
I really need to hang out in the organic gardens more. This is an inspiration. EoF is probably tired of hearing me say it...I WILL transition to organics...soon. I hope. I really need to learn more about what the plants are telling me first. I'm still a new grower...not comfortable enough for the big switch.
Blah blah blah...Awesome grow man!
Come on over to the dirt bag side. ITs pretty forgiving and not so difficult as I keep hearing everyone make it out to be. The nice thing about an Organic system is that if you make a mistake the plant usually just burps and keeps going.

I am reading through your hubbabubba tread. Yet another cultivar I have yet to get to try. Can't cry too much. Got two Walt Whites going right now and they look scary.

well with the addition of chems as it were, you can add many things. but with (imo of course) limited results. but the Mommoth will give you a nice togher internodal space along with a little bit more denser of a flower ime. a straight inoculate with Mammoth is the wrong approach imho. the reason is its a bacteria and will solublize many foods and be leached out. adding to WITH the mammoth is good but not stand alone imo. you can top coat the pot with a soluble granules and actual faster released granules along with teas and heavier top coating or tea residues along with fresh vermicompost. frass included adds a lot to a top coating and tea.

Fras ha been on my radar.

No, the addition of an inorganic to one container was an attempt to stop a slide. She is the same as the other two cans but somehow she is not as efficient with uptake. Genetic, or more likely user error. Still I wanted to see if I could bump her up a bit. I ran a round of fert (3 successive waterings is a round) with my pH up around 6.55 to see if I could get more uptake. Not sure if the soil did anything more than simply buffer out my correction and keep on going. I have been running around 6.4 or slightly more since switching over to flower.

I am down late enough in the game that I dont have time for major course corrections. They seem to be running fairly well but I want to puzzle out what it takes to build out more mass organically. It is hard to find the information you are looking for when you want to look for it.

Gonna dump some porn here and explain it as I go. I have a few plants that are being tested out with recovery containers. The two worst containers I had last run were directly planted into with only a core of the stem and a couple of sink holes filled with Benes and a slow release fertilizer. They have been given an organic diet through Veg and then a mixed organic/synthetic blend in the hopes that I can find a happy medium between yield/cost/effort/quality. The Quality is the important one. If it tastes off I am dumping it into the Magical Butter Machine. Brownies ho...

Another Northern Lights. Mine are from Vision Seeds, and they are good ones. But most any plant that has Northern Lights genetics are an easy grow. Really vigorous.

On Deck. Mephisto Genetics 3 Bears and 2 Walter White from left to right. Basking under the glow of 2 - 1812 5K cobs.

Walter White. This things look to be a bruiser. Bring it on. I want to see this thing sugar up. One of these will get the organic and the other the blended program. Lets see if there is any difference.

3 Bears OG. this one is getting hidden in the drawer when she is cured. Mine. My precious. Love me some OG.

Oh sorry. @Seabass asked me to tag him when I started talking about the 3 bears. I will start a thread over in Meph sometime soon. Just watching the paint dry at this point.

Good stuff here @Puddentane :pass:

I am dropping some Mephistos tonight for my first attempt at organics, gonna try a little experimenting to find what works for me. I have some 3 bears as well, will be subbing up for your grow over there

looking good man. well instead of usin a psudo chleated product why not use fully composted scraps for the worm bin half way theure and some is already there to be taken up by the plants.way easier on the soil and roots when done more naturally. ime anyways. but Im stupid sewnsetive however becasue of my disease. its weird actually but its my life..firign lame too I taste chems n foods n stuff. and If Im flairing up>? sheeit I dont eat usually cuz it all sux LOL!! well mostly. but composted scraps and flower food, transition, growth whatever the stage use composted and eaten products and it should have an easier time in uptake.especially with an enzyme addition late seedling stage imo. it helps develop a rhyzospere.and ofcourse the brix aspect of the soil(s) will also aid in the uptake and strengthening of the stem, roots and inner cellulose structure.

There is no part of this that I am against. The fact that I am blending synths in is an admission that I have yet to master my program to the point that I am providing them the nutrients they need to be their best. So in the next year I plant to head to building out my own soil program and using a tea system as I am sure you have done. That WILL be the gold standard for enjoying what the breeders saw when they were working with these plants.
