New Grower To Auto Or Not To Auto? Stitch Blueberries -- let's see!

LoL! I know, right? I'm gettin' kinda premenstrual over this bloody caper, sheeesh!!

Hope she's buddin' up for you, South Syder (ryder)! All the time and love you've put into her, they gonna be icky sticky buds, and potent as all hell!!

I really think she might just be teasing you buddy. Its been long enough now at this stage.

I feel your pain. I had one didn't flower and I put on 12/12 around 50 days and babied it in and out of the tent because my others were on longer light schedules. It went around 100 days, probably could have went 2 more weeks but I couldn't wait to be finished with it. I scrapped a Formula 1 at 45 days, it never flowered. Now I have a problem totally opposite of yours. A Russian Haze is 69 days and totally loaded with buds, but they are small and very light and airy for 69 days, but it smells wonderful.

It's been more than long enough man, and I think only one Blueberry is showing that odd budset at the nodes, if it actually is budset. Those Ryders are going great guns next to them at near half their age! One Blueberry has to go -- crowding out productive plants, and the Onyx are really scooting along and are gonna need the space! Update in three days.

Better that problem than mine bro! You know what I just realized? --I got Stitch gear in the Onyx in there too... Awww dang!! Anyone ever had an Onyx not flower up...??!

Okay folks,

I have two distinct phenos of that Blueberry: one has suffered with that Cal/Mg problem and one has resisted it well. The hardier is showing some vague signs of budset but the weaker (and unfortunately bushier one) is showing nothing at all and crowding the productive plants!! To be fair to Stitch, and this grow, I'll retain the one that looks to be doing something and remove the one that isn't. Pity, I had high hopes for both. Don't have opportunity for pics and stuff (I have visitors for the next few days and they don't know about my 'hobby') so I'll just remove the dud and trash it in the dirty wash basket and update when I have my place to myself again. Down to one plant now to redeem Stitch's pride -- and I sure hope she does. Can't be fairer than that...can I??

No, but I wouldn't let Stitches pride or reputation weigh too heavy on you. You'll be releived when you move on and get your grows back on track. At least I know I was. I still have some of his seeds, but I'll drop one now and then with my other varieties of different breeders seeds. I will never rely on just one breeder or brand only. I got too overwhelmed having 3 problems at the same time. I've had a couple good plants from him. The irony of it all is the one plant I had to baby so much and couldn't give up on, "love potion" is very much enjoyed by my wife. It was an awful lot of work to get it done though. Good luck to you South Syder, I'll be following your updates.

Thanks a bunch for the good wishes bro. Glad your grows are rocking again.

:bump:

I'm not particularly concerned with Stitch's reputation but I figure I gotta be fair -- and if the stupid thing does flower up I'm totally holding my breath to taste it (and seeing as it'll be so late I may have some pollen to throw on it).

I'm a big one for throwing pollen around (especially with TBLs) so I can have a nice seed stash, but the White Moscow seeds I made so far have only thrown a midget premature male so 0/1 on that one. Here's hoping I do better the next few I sprout of those. When ya mix strains ya get mixed results. Like my Different Ryder F1s hybrids flower early but tend to be small-ish. I'm hoping for some pollen from the Onyx to see what mischief I can get up to.

But, I wanted something different and good, and damn it, Stictch's gear ain't filling me with hope... Might have to take another punt and restock a small order (gulp, thought I was done with having to do that). Still, I'll hold off till I know the strains I got from him are duds, and we're 0/3 on that one (two ducksfoots and one blueberry).

Cheers.

As my mama taught me, •if ya got nothing nice to say, than don't say anything at all• : tiphat: on that note, the reason more for me piping in is I am trying to figure out how long a grower will go with an "auto" in veg on a regular lightening schedule? It kind of makes no sense to me at all if a plant is all ready nicely vegged out and is at a good size why wait so long to flip it to 12/12? May not be an auto as advertised but I will be damned if I let something like light hours come between me and my meds... I've run many many many autos start to finish and veg under 18/6 or 20/4 till flowering starts than throw into 12/12 (with the later being very little difference in final yield) I guess my point is if you flipped a month ago you'd be well on your way to a nice harvest... Come on guys don't be afraid to run your autos at less hours, a little yield may be sacrificed but at least you'll keep the med supply rolling in.... I vote you flip your tent and wishing you the best luck that you get some good smoke! for your dedication and to you for sharing with us what happened with seeds that were supposedly "will be just fine if they come direct".
:Sharing One:
