Just pissing around. Had a spare seedling so left it in the channel between pots. The nute mix flows over the roots kinda like an nft setup though!

That's a cool idea. How are you going to stop the roots from just dying off because they're exposed to the light?

Just cut an old bucket lid into 2 squares with a hole for the stem at the edges that but together.
I'll pull her just wanted to see how long she would survive.
Roots will block the whole channel in no time

Yea I have to trim off the roots from the pots when i take the girls out. They are trying to go the hole to the res. would clog things up in no time.

Ive actually been thinking about cutting a 4 or 5 inch hole directly below pots to allow for a dwc/wilma hybrid

Mine go down into the res or the back ones grow along the channel then down. I just let them get on with it.
