What does putting them in the dark for days do?
The nutrients apparently stay in the roots until the lights come on which is when they apparently move back up.. so apparently you leave them in the dark and when you are ready to harvest you chop the trunk from the roots before putting it in light... There may be other reasons but that's one of them... Anyhow what does vary is the times... Some say the 12 hours of darkness is perfectly fine and enough which I happen to agree with... Others prefer 24 hours of darkness while others 36 or 48... Just depends on the grower but I generally just chop 10-15 min before lights on. You could do a full 24 hours if you aren't on a rush. I think it's supposed to also reduce Chlorophyll but idk... A good cure helps with that anyhow after 2-3 weeks the buds start to taste much better versus at first dried.
Obviously since this is autoflower most aren't going to normally have that 12 hours of darkness so you definitely want to cut the timer off when leaving it in the dark.
