Lighting The Bucket Strikes Back! (3 autos with LEDs)

I've just watered them with some 400ish ml of pHed water per pot. Runoff ph/ec values are on range :D. I am really happy because they are all getting super frosty! Resin is appearing all over in all the three grown plants
Each plant has an unique aroma, and when I open the lid of the bucket you can smell every one of them :booya:

Did not have time to take many pics this time, so here are some closeups; from left to right, Green Poison Auto, Assorted#1 and Fast Bud:

Quick update today! They got a mini flush yesterday, and I took some pics. The youngest seedling, the Sweet Skunk Auto, has sprouted! I had to remove the seed cover because it did not fall on its own and now the little seedling has a bent cotyledon. This one is on a 950ml pot filled with compo sana soil mix. It is my entry for the 32OZ Comp!

The young Assorted Auto #2 has recovered some color. The soil layer over the coco is helping with the feedings I think!

Now on to the grown ups ;) The Green Poison Auto is beautiful, smelly and frosty:

The Assorted Auto #1 is getting bigger as well. This one has large fan leaves which I might remove or trim soon to help light lower budsites:

Fast Bud really stands up to its name! I think it is the most ripe one, although I have to check with a microscope yet:

Finally a group shot. GPA is the one to the left, AA1 the one in the middle and FB the one to the right. To the right is the small AA2 and in the lower center the youngest SSA.

That's it for now! Thanks for passing by friends! Best regards and :peace:

Lookin good Sir... Keep it up

Hi all folks! My ladies had to wait 5 days because of me going to a music festival. They got a nice watering before I left and for the most part they are now doing OK. The 3 grown plants are good: the Green Poison Auto continues fattening its budsites, although it looks the less ripe of the 3. The Assorted #1 looks alright too and is developing more bud space. The Fast Bud looks like the most ripe one, and has a wonderful skunky smell with lots of resin ;). I will be checking them soon with a microscope. Theoretically, the Fast Bud should be harvested sometime this week if the 60 day period the seed bank claims has any value. I'll find out soon!

The small Sweet Skunk Auto is doing fine. The color is alright and the size is OK too. Let's see how much bigger it gets! Remember, it's on a 950ml with Compo Sana Universal soil mix:

Now, on to the problematic one: the small Assorted Auto #2, which is growing in a 1 liter pot filled with coco. I poured some Compo Sana Universal soil mix over the coco substrate about a week ago, to help fight the problems it had. Now, after 5 days without water, the plant looks bad. It has yellowing zones as well as twisted new growth. The second pair of 3-bladed leaves is curled and twisted badly. I was using liquid humus to feed her, but now I'm thinking of using only a green plant chemical fertilizer (Compo Green Plants, NPK 7-3-6 with micronutrients and seaweed extracts). My main concern is about the pH and ec of the mix to use. I believe that a plant in this stage, using coco as substrate, should be fed a mixture with a pH of between 5.8 - 6, and with a not too strong electroconductivity, maybe around 1.2 mS/cm. If some expert thinks I'm off on any of these parameters, please tell me! I am not an expert grower, but I am a completely lost newbie when it comes to coco and to recognize the problems of the plant. Any advice would be really really appreciated! Here are the pics of the poor plant:

That's it for now, friends. More news coming soon! Thanks for reading!

Well, I just checked the Fast Bud with a microscope. The plant is 59 days old today. Most trich heads are transparent/white, with just a few ambers. Some parts have no amber heads at all, so I will leave them be for the moment, allowing for more ripening. I also mixed the nutrients I will use with the little sick one, setting the pH to 6 and ec to 1.6. I have already applied 100ml to the coco pot and we'll see the results... Next day it's going to get plain ph'ed water only. I just hope the AA#2 keeps growing healthy from now on...

well bro your plants are beautiful, as for the sick one if I didn't know better I would say you have root rot.Are you letting the medium dry out between watering ? or do you keep it wet?Any way I hate to say this but if that plant was a horse id shoot it:firedevil: the rest of your grow is awesome tho and those baby's look extra frosty.Im looking foreword to how the sweet skunk dose as I almost ordered some of that myself.

BC EDIT: that little one's problem may also be sulfur tho I have never actually seen that deficiency myself.

As always you are really welcome brokencage! Nice advice there. To tell the truth the small Assorted#2, the sick one, had been watered throughly to survive 5 days without waterings (I had to be out of town). It is totally plausible that the roots rot because of that. The medium is coco with a small layer of soil mix over it. I fed her with a small dosage of water and nutes and it has recovered some color, although the leaves still look bad. I will keep her for now, to see if it recovers. Maybe I might even trasplant her when I harvest the first grown plant and the pot is free to use. We'll see.

I will also check my veg. nutes bottle to see if it contains sulphur. I think it does, but I'm not sure. The little plant might have not only deficiencies but also pH disorders because of so many days without water...

Thanks again for your input! See you soon!

Finally I decided to ditch the coco substrate and replaced it with compo sana universal soil mix with extra perlite for the Assorted Auto #2. The root ball was tiny, the roots grew long but not wide, and although I did not see any sign of root rot (roots were healthy looking, and white) it looked like the root ball should be a lot bigger by now. Now I will have to wait and see if the plant reacts well. I hope it's not a very big shock for her! Pic:

These last days it has recovered some color and it looks somewhat healthier, although I think it still has way to go to recover...

As for the other plants, they are looking fine. The big ones, Green Poison, Assorted#1 and Fast Bud all got some water + molasses today. I checked again with a microscope and could see more brownish trich heads, although they are primarily white/translucent. The time is coming!

Thanks for passing by! Best regards and :peace:
