Completed The 2022 Outdoor Auto-Photo Competition!

Yeah the DRC will probably be a tougher one to narrow in on the phenotype variations. I prefer to self the plants for the F2 stage IMO it seems to lower the % of phenotype variations at that stage of a breeding project you obviously still get a good variety of variations just slightly less of them. I do plan on running the DRC this winter indoors and furthering work on it as it really hit all the desired traits I'm looking for.
The hobbiest grower n pollen chucker in me really likes new F1 crosses with wild phenotype variations but the business man in me understands the need for stable genetics with consistency. I enjoy both sides of working with this amazing plant.
...true dat! Other breeders and fine chuckers say the work goes exponential when you start delving deeper into F-gen's with multiple cultivars - :help:
The time and resources it takes to do it proper really demonstrate why it's work that can't be rushed, and Lady Luck always has her fickle finger on the scales!
Seems a fair bit of what we see "commercially" are F1 and/or S1, not that it's always a bad thing but not always good either... Nor does the "deeper worked" stuff pan out when they make new batches of seeds. This is why I had bailed off of Dinafem (before their demise :rolleyes2:), I had too much crap show up too many times!
To date, Sweet and Female in particular have done the best for me from the commercial end of the seed bizz... Did you see the OD Grapefruit I had a few years ago? If you're looking for a great Sativa-dom' breeding candidate that's already well tuned for speed and OD life, give her consideration!
The Skunk Special (sweet fruity pheno) was one of the most terp' rich plants I've ever had, so much so that harvest/trim made me literally a bit ill from the olfactory overload, even though it was super delish' :dizzy:...lemon PEZ candy!

The trimming is finished and I pick up a faint chocolate smell from the Northern lights. Love the smoke she produced one pound fifteen and seven eighth's ounces.
As for the Mystery plants they all smelled like cat piss and very larfy :nono: I tried a bud = They all went to compost
More thoughts and grow knowledge obtained for sure this year. Happy Farming :bighug:
:clapper::clapper::clapper: ...oh, that is some fine-ass bud right there! :d5: ... and what a bloody haul too, looks like it's gonna be a green stanky Christmas for some lucky folks- :smoking:
Well bugger and fek, the whole lot of Mystery sucked that bad?! Here I am angling for cat piss too ... I gather the smoke was horrid,...weak? Harsh/nasty? ...what a shame bro', they didn't look bad to me but pics are just that only-- pics!

Hey y'all. I'm sorry I'm not able to read everything that's above here I've been so damn busy my eyes are going cross all the time. Trimming does a lot to your eyes and your hands.
I scan through some of the pics down through here real quick and read some of the comments.
I want to thank you guys:bighug::worship::pass::cheers::toke:
it's been a great grow year I've had a lot of fun growing you guys this year. I hope we can do it for many years to come. Everybody's grows look awesome:pighug:. Everybody did a really good job even if they think you didn't you still did.
I know growing can be tough sometimes.:coffee2: We've all had our share of disappointments. It happens:shrug::doh::pop: it happens to the very best of us. You can't dictate what a plant's going to do or the conditions that you're dealt out during the grow when you grow outside.:cuss:It's kind of like playing cards. You're just dealt the hand you're dealt, just deal with it. LOL:shrug::rofl::vibe:
The grow gods know that I've had plenty of grows that have went South.:cuss:

Been trimming my ass off. I've already got 108 plus hours at the farm.:help: I'm not sure how many here on my grow.?:shrug:a lot I'm sure. I've sharpened my scissors at least once. I've dry trimmed, wet trimmed, sat trimmed, and stood trimmed, I have trimmed about every position I can imagine. The farmer doesn't have as many workers this year as he usually does. Not sure why didn't ask just banking the hours.

Most of the crop here in my garden I've took on a two-stage harvest. No different with the skunk hero. I took the ripe large buds and colons from the skunk hero yesterday morning.
:jointman: ...hey, I'm the tardy one around here- :funny: ... and I don't have diddly-swat to deal with compared to you (and poor Jean)!
Small wonder your eyes are getting wonky,... I'm now needing reading glasses for this work! Try a mild pair, like 1.0 or 1.25, it might help relieve some strain?

Yuppers, the biggest X-factor in the OD Comp is that very thing: outdoors! ...so many possible curveballs, some of which we don't even get to swing at- :nono:
But I'm stoked to see relatively little drama this year, no rippers, busts/close calls... no major pestilence... Weather was the Bitch this year it seems- -one of the curveballs we don't get to swing at!

Skunk hero @Jean-O genetics
--- damn she fine!.... those colors are fantastic GTG, I love that chocolate-grape leaf color especially... Superb buds too, another winner from Jean-O!
How's her aroma at harvest?
Take your time GTG, post at your convenience - :pighug:
both my entriez are about 95% cloudy now & i'm jus waitin on amber :oops1: :face: am hopin i might be able to get two of my remaining four girlz down this next week, but we'll jus hafta see what nature sez, lol
... they ripened beautifully 420'! I'd be tempted to take WWBB or GF on the early side just for the zippy buzz and the terp profile/richness, if your nose knows and sez.... Again, I'm double happy about WWBB not melting away on ya, wish you had clones coz this may be a superior pheno! Alas, clones are whole grow gig all their own....

Kindbuds final weight strawberry cookies comp plant
Good morning y’all. She was finally dry so I dry trimmed her yesterday and weighed her. Minus about 3-4 g of budrot and about an oz of larf for bubble hash she weighed 56 g. So about 88 total of useable flower. Scissor hash was banging! During trim I had smells of dough, bakery, berry… had an aroma of cranberry bread! Buds are looser than indoor, obviously. Frosted in trichs.

Very nicely done bud! She is beautiful!
Thanks @Jean-O yes she's one of the most beautiful plants I've ever grown. I can't wait to grow it again next year it was a pleasure. I kept a clone so I can grow this exact one. And I may grow one of your other seeds next year just to see how well a new seed will do compared to this clone. :toke:

You must have cool neighbors. I like the camera placement. First quick look I thought they were speakers.
@TrichomeAssassin ... That house is vacant that you see in the pictures. I really don't know what happened to the owner. She put a new roof on it and a year later she moved another town about 70 miles from here I seen her a couple more times. But I haven't seen her now for almost 2 years going on three? So I'm licensed and don't care about my neighbors anyways. I've lived here for almost 13 years, I've only talked to about five or six neighbors. And out of them three of them are dead. Out of that two of them died in their houses. What the hell?. LOL. Truth is more bizarre than fiction. LOL
But most of my neighbors come visit me for there medicine.

The birdhouse cameras are a must. It's really calm my neighborhood down over the last 5 years. Just having the cameras up...they (ripper's) know they work. I've also provided video for several incidences around here over the years including a car running into a house a disgruntled boyfriend shooting a house two car accidents and somebody stealing a TV in early morning broad daylight across the street while they were sleeping. Freaking crazy. The only thing I'm really missing is gun towers.:drunks::evil::rofl:
I did have a jumper in September 2019 at 3:30 in the morning. The police were here within 3 minutes of him getting over the fence. I had already harvest so the only thing he got was a handful of stocks and some leaves.:crying::doh::rofl:as well his picture taken as he flees from the police jumping over my fence:haha::rofl::doh::crying:

:shooty:
If you look hard enough over the fence in the background you can see the cop car and you can see the officers flashlight shining over top of the fence... :salute:
I can't believe we live in a time when I can actually call the police to come save my cannabis crops and not put me in jail... :d5::cooldance:
If things were really bad though and I was really worried about somebody jumping my fence anymore.
Right after that ripper incident I bought a high-end electric fence for cattle that's has a 120 mile range capability. With 6.9 jewels intermittent and 10.3 joules for killing weeds. Ouch ! :tang::warrior:
It'll knock down a bear for a brief second and send him packing.:yoinks::yay::naughtystep::rofl:

Updates
@Waira

Updates. Fire OG Kush, industrial plant, skunk hero. Second stage harvest.

So I harvested the Fire OG Kush first on the 10th of October I'm getting ready to harvest its second stage. There's not much left on this plant I could have probably left more to get better and danker. These bud's definitely got danker that's for sure. The buds are much better than what they would have been if I would have harvested the whole plant at one time. I'll be harvesting this plant within a day or so.

Almost the final pics of the

Fire OG Kush big head seeds. Harvest fall for 2022.

Update industrial plant
The buds on the industrial plant have grown and swelled up quite a bit. I've been manicuring them a little bit here and there. After I make this post I intend to go out and trim all the plants for final harvest as I plan to be in by this weekend on everything and have it all hanging.

Skunk hero Jane-O genetics

Great plant love growing it I would grow it again in a heartbeat.
The skunk hero was a Real pleasure and easy to grow. This plant was p.m. free the entire grow. I didn't have any pest issues that I could tell. As I do a pretty good IPM so I probably wouldn't ever seen them anyways. I just lightly spray this plant when I walk by, it never had any p.m.
The aroma was not what I expected and was looking for.
It's fruity... I'm not looking for fruity. I'm looking for sticky skunk. I'm looking for it to stink like you don't really want it around you stinky n skunky. But that's what I'm looking for and that's what I want. Maybe this plant will lean that way after curing? Unsure we'll see later on. It's hard to find stinky skunk smelling plants right now. As some people have influenced these breeders to breed fruit and fufu smells into these strains. When I'm looking for cat piss and skunk.
I want it to be so stinky that you can smell it before I even walk into your house.

I've only took a little bit of that plant. She's just finishing up now. And I'll harvest the tops the rest of them today and then I'm going to let the bottom catch up until next week. As that'll be the last thing I harvest before it gets cold.

The headband A in the deckhole
This plant I've already smoked some of her,. And it works spectacularly. Definitely very yummy very good high Superior.
They call this strain White Castle now. Because they believe it has the aroma of old stale White Castle burgers left on the floorboard of your car LOL. I don't know. I asked how they came up with that?? I'm just relaying the message though :crying:
But It does have a weird smell though... it's strange and I haven't had a White Castle burger in a long time.. so I can't concur with this aroma observation.:rofl: but I don't doubt it LOL:pop::haha:
IMG_20221024_073704741.jpg

And the funky wedding cake oh my God it's still doing the same thing. The shadow side of the plant did get the nicer buds but the sun side of the plant didn't.? The one in the 15 gallon pot and the one in the cage also the out to the farm all did the same thing. The sun affected them this year and they all had smaller buds. I think this plant needs a little bit more shade??? to produce buds like it did last year. That's just my personal observation of this particular plant. This plant still does very good inside.?
IMG_20221024_073715370.jpg

Pac plant.. it's got a nice buds on it. small plant and it appeared to be pest and mold free throughout the grow. First and only harvest.

Modified grapes 25 will be on her second harvest the mg 25 has got very dank buds on a second and they swelled up a lot. The wedding cake in the cage was very disappointing to say the least this year. It did not perform like last year nothing that we grew from this cut outside did well. I have others to talk to yet that got this cut out to as clones. I'm going to see what they got with this plant.
I know the one guy who took a lot of wedding cake clones, he never even mentioned the cake when he talked to me a week or so ago. But he was raving about the mg 25 and how he loved it so much. Go figure.:smokeout:

@Waira You guessed correctly on Christmas gifts = (Northern Lights) :d5: this year. This grow shows how one nice plant can make a difference :vibe:
Ya the Mystery plants appeared so well and when I removed top buds for a try it tasted bad and I did not get High from it. Its good mulch
Happy Farming and Harvesting All :toke:

I have always been very happy with everything I've gotten from Sweet Seeds. I haven't ever tried Female Seeds yet but I have also really liked Ethos gear. It is definitely a lot harder than it sounds to work a good stable line. I've been working on my Spice Cake photo line for close to 5 years now and it's only a S1 (F4) selfed from the F3 generation and it still has about 3 phenotypes similar terp profile on them but definitely different structures. The Blue Dog is also a F4 and that's been around 5 years in the making. I could probably spend the rest of my life just working the strains I already have and stil not have them perfect.
It's very nice having the community here growing some of my works so I can see how they express themselves in different growing environments.
I'll have to check out the Grape Fruit grow again that's a favorite for me in terps. I seem to really enjoy the Sativa Dominant hybrids.

@Waira

Was out doing final defol on Snow G this morning and spotted two tops with BR. Condensation was dripping on those.. so I chopped today.

61 days in flower. Got it all in the tent to dry, and didn't see any other problems with her.

The terps are popping on me fingers :smoking: Really don't know how to desribe it, butz i like it!

The work shows… the DRC is getting rave reviews from everyone who has tried it! Nice job and looked back at my pack to see how many I had left. It will def get run again when I do a photo outdoors!
