Lighting TEST: 2Autocobs growing 2 autoflowers

Wonderful! You'll be amazed at what they can do!

Nice thread, @pop22 . My first two autocobs were delivered about 20 minutes ago and I'll be running two plants under them as soon as my current grow finishes so I'm definitely subbed up to see how your ladies end up. Looks great so far!

Update:

Well, MAYBE I caught this problem in time. Plant doesn't seem worse anyway. A few more days will tell! Both plants are now in flower, wooo hoooo! Now lets see what they do! Because of the ph issue, I'm downgrading my expectations. We'll see. and next test, I go back to organic soil!

Well, I'm very disappointed with these plants, but its my fault. That ph shift totally screwed them up. I'm temped to just toss them and start over.......... but I need the damned bud! I can say right now, this is not going to be a good demo of these lights, and I apologize for that! Going back to soil for the next round in here, I KNOW what I can grow in soil!

What pH are you running? What are you feeding and how often now?

I've decided that as a fair test, the issues I had will not give an accurate results. I've halted to test but will continue the thread. I've added to orphan plants, a Blueberry auto that didn't from a test grow, and another Green Poison that was being smothered in the photo period tent....lol! The goal now is to at least get some bud to hold me out till the photos are done. The crappy test grows screwed me up as I was counting on the bud from them, and gave away too much of my supply. I'm almost out of bud ( first time since I began growing again )....... So I'm hoping for a couple zips from this tent to keep me supplied for another 6-8 weeks.

I'm using auto pot bases. I'm running Seagrow 16-16-16 at 650 ppms PH 6.25. In fact I'll post a pic of my other tent running the exact same solution and PH. I figure it was either a PH shift ( I've had issues with that but have it fixed. DO NOT use so call "organic" ph down of any kind in a res, it won't hold the ph down more than a couple days..... I'm now using Bontanicare PH down. I've always used baking soda for PH up. It only takes a very tiny amount to correct with baking soda and it buffers the ph well.

The other though is the solution is too strong for these autos. I do recall running Green Poison before and ran them at 450 ppms of Seagrow and they did great.

The Ducksfoot goes outdoors tomorrow and will give the new squatters more room......

Hey pop I just spoke to a guy about this the other day. I mentioned the same thing with my microbe ph down and he said it was from the plant using up the nutrients causing it to rise again and not the buffer added. Sounds about right but it could also be from the microbe organic approach to ph adjustment.

Update:

Plants are nearing the end. They look rough but the buds have been building over the last few days. The plants I transplanted late are actually doing fairly well. The one in this tent looks decent and has just started to fatten up her buds. I think she'll be decent for harvest, so putting her in this tent is going to help my bud supply.

And for their burnt appearance, the buds on these plants looks good. Trichs are about 70% so maybe a week to go, which is good, I'm running low for the first time in 3 1/2 years! Got my game back on though, a few more weeks I'll be swimming in bud!

Been debating what to grow here next for my test of these lights, I'm thinking Mephisto's Skyler White, I'm LONG overdue for a Mephisto grow!
