Im not positive at all. I put it in the infirmary to see what others say. Hoping there is just a pistol waiting to pop out of there. Im sure there gnats. best way to stop them is nematodes and yellow sticky traps and letting the top soil dry out a bit. mine are gone Now

Which nematodes should I get? I see a few different kinds? You ever figure it out on plants? It could still be female...just need to wait and see if hairs pop out.....

I've had good luck with naturesgoodguys nematodes hb+sc+hf. They sell them on Amazon. They are live though so you have to keep them refrigerated till you use them.

I've always gotten rid of my gnats problem with their nematodes and some yellow sticky traps as mentioned. Kills the eggs, larve and adults.

I use pot poppers they are sf nematodes from my research thats the ones you want and im pretty sure its a girl.

You try the dunks in there? Im not informed on reses id try and find out what they are go from there.They caused any problems yet?

No not yet....I don't think it's the reason my plants look like shit..... Also like super tiny wiggly worms in water...ill have to try and take a microscope pic when I get off work

Those stay on top of water and flickering around...
