New Grower Sweet Seeds Mystery Autopot

Looking real nice. I'm running the standard autopots but their new ones with the grow bags are doing great also.
Thanks for the encouragement! I'll check out some of your grows and hopefully pick up a thing or two. Still trying to get comfortable using the forum and taking advantage of the wide knowledge base in the community. Your reply is greatly appreciated!

I went ahead and raised the lights since today I noticed some discoloration on some of the top leaves. Does this look like a light related issue or a nutrient deficiency? Thanks

Hmm, just a few days ago I was thinking I was going to slip by without any troubles. Today all kinds of things are popping up. I noticed more discoloration and now some twisting of leaves. I also noticed the roots are starting to emerge from the sides of the smart pot. I thought they were supposed to air prune themselves. Could the light hitting the roots be the source of the quick deterioation? Any ideas greatly appreciated.

As a new grower I'm hesitant to go with my initial diagnosis but the closest match I can find is the beginning stages of root rot. The bottom half of the pot does seem to be holding a considerable amount of water. If anybody can verify or offer a better suggestion I'm all ears. Until then I'm going to turn the pot off for a few days and see if letting it dy out a bit relieves the symptoms. Just a hunch and as a new grower probably the wrong one but it doesn't look like a problem that will fix itself. Cheers!

I haven't used the qb strip lighting. But have used the COB and KindLED in both of those I started at 36" above the pots then into flower try to keep 15-20". Some of the leaves look like a Calmag deficiency but then you have some of the leaves curling/upward Nitrogen toxicity. Are you feeding them from the reservoir with nutrients. Then as far as I know on the grow bags the roots will come through but after a few days should die off.

Thanks for that! I have the lights at 15" now and the only nutrients I'm using is Kind Soil. Good to know about the roots as that was a concern. I'll read up on nitrogen and calmag deficiencies. Cheers!

LED, Cob lighting and Coco are Calmag eaters. I use it from sprout to finish.

OK, just pulled this out the post, hate supporting corporate giants and would much rather put money into local grow shops, but Amazon Prime sure does deliver. Ha, might have to taper off the Prime instead of cold turkey! I'm going to read up on the amounts of Calimagic 1-0-0 and start low, but I sure hope I can turn things around. Or at the very least, limp through the finish line with something to show. Could this possibly be attributed to salt buildup? I do notice a white substance on the lower half of the smart pot. The problem as a new grower doing his own research is that I seem to find similar characteristics in several different diagnoses, which leads me to believe I may have more than one problem occurring. More likely, I just don't know what I'm doing, ha, that's why I'm counting on the lessons I pick up here. Happy Growing and thanks for the continued support..
