Indoor SunSystems LEC 315 CMH - Soil - Advanced Nutrients - Dinafem White Widow - G13Labs Pineapple Express

I tried a first early bud off the Thai tonight and was really surprised at the early potency. Good effect sativa, down to earth not a spaced out high , no anxiety or whatnot. Has some body too with some body/pain relief for muscles, very relaxing.

Your plants look great in the last photos. She's really got a lot of budsites and I can see the resin on the fans.

Yeah I didn't want to be too morbid. the burns are worse than they look. The burn is compounded by an allergic reaction that produces a nasty rash that spreads. Rash spots pop up kinda randomly and have showed up on my arm thighs butt and neck. The original exposure was about 2 weeks ago cleaning up a 6000, yes 6000 gallon spill. Maybe 36 hours exposure over 3 days. Wearing TyChem coveralls booties and double gloves. It just works it wav through. Took a week and a half off after. Went back for a shift and had to leave after 4 hours. Dizzy lightheaded and the rash jumped right back to about twice its original size. Started a steroid pack and antibiotics should be under control in a couple days. Pain was pretty bad for a few days but smoking the last widow I grew helped a lot. It's just starting to soften up in the cure and hits the head pretty hard. Fades to the body quickly, a complete relax of mind and body.

Some fresh pics here G13 Labs Pineapple Express. 3rd seed of a 5 pack. The LST stopped upward growth early and pushed her into quick flowering. Incredibly fast growth and maturation. Potentially a legitimate 8 week strain. Comes at the expense of size, yield will be low, maybe an oz or so for this one. The smell has been light through the grow on this one. A close sniff shows some dankness and a sharp rotten pineapple funk. Very nice. Looking forward to the smoke on this one. Had some spider mites move in a couple weeks ago. They liked the PE but loved the Widow more. A heavy application of FoxFarms Don't Bug Me spray stopped em in their tracks. No more webs. Ambers showing up. Cleaned up most of the fan leaves yesterday. I'll chop this one first, probably tomorrow morning.

Nice bro, I'm glad you're on the mend. That pineapple express should be nice smoke, I like skunk hybrids like that.
Take it easy, bro

WTF, WTF! 6000 gallons of what exactly that got through the Tychem protection? You are scaring the crap out of me.
I don't think they could pay me enough for that risk.
If I stub my toe I whine for a week, one papercut and I take the rest of the day off, burns like that HURT a lot!

You need a safer job, like taking lava samples from a live volcano, or gardening in Chernobyl.
Tell us those chemical burns have been medically checked out, at a hospital?

I hope they gave you protection equipment like this AND training and plenty of time read the SDS (safety data sheets).

Yeah I had a long hard talk with myself before I took the job. My concern was actually long term low level exposure. Wasn't expecting this so much. I'm an old dog and was willing to accept the risk. This is not a job I would do right out of high school. The reality is you are selling your health. I can say that going into a large chemical plant is a pretty different experience. The atmospere is serious and a little somber. Work moves slowly, no rushing, no pressure, We take lots of breaks. There is a lot of freedom. It's not a place for people who need to be told what to do. A few rules apply. Work steady, do it right the first time, don't spill, finish what you start. And mistakes still happen. This spill was 100% human error. A hose came uncoupled because it wasn't strapped with about a nickels worth of velcro. That nickel of velcro probably cost the company a 100 grand. Throw in lost production and I couldnt even guess.
I certainly look at the world a bit differently now. There is about 500 products we make in our catalog as varied as the juice you scratchoff on lottery tickets to the little bit of waxy goo they spread inside the cap for a bottle of fruit juice to keep it from rusting to the nice pretty shiny topcoat on high end catalog covers. It's actually a pretty cool job making intermediate and finished products from raw materials that end up in cell phones and dashbooards and juice boxes.. Everyday 5 tankers roll in, and 5 trucks roll out. It's pretty easy to see the products I make out in the world. It feels important and gives you a sense of pride.

:woohoo: Damn! Nice!

Hey bro, I understand your pride in your job and I have a lot of respect for you and that.

Work Comp insurance for these kind of work absences suck because you don't get your full salary, normally.

It's not my business, but your employer is liable for your pain and suffering, and probably lost wages also awarded in a court.

I'm not a lawyer, but the company is responsible for your safety while you are working for them, and it sounds like you were sent in there to clean up the spill with obviously inadequate safety gear--the burns are the proof of that, and you suffered massive exposure.

I wish you well my friend. You think about getting yourself a good lawyer? Seems like there'd be plenty to go to bat for you, you're gonna have some scars there I guess. Normally, I think the employer is responsible for your safety, sounds like they tested those boundaries.

Of course, you go after them and you probably get cut out of the job at some point, they'll hate that, so you have to consider that as well, but it sounds like *&%# to me.

More than anything, just wish you well, bro and to your family as well. If you can seek other work, I'd seek a lawyer too, I guess a work comp type one. They'd probably slather their mouths over you because they are going to take home the lion's share.

Again, just an armchair phone-a-friend from here, and not really my business but wish you the best :vibes:

Kindly,

Hey Medi! Appreciate the kind words. Lawyers and doctors are in the mix but I'm in New Jersey and workmens comp in this state does not recognize pain and suffering or negligence until a 3rd party like the manufacturer of the hose coupling or the chemical can be found at fault. Potential, but the best avenue is long term effects which means specialists in chemical burns will have to be brought in, which is the next step. Still kinda wait and see, but I'm keeping up with the paper trail and getting things documented.
In the meantime I've picked up a fresh loupe after giving an old one with a dead battery away to a friend. Here's some trich shots of the Pineapple Express at 30x. I've got a big cleanup to get through on the thai today but I'd like to get the PE cut and hanging to dry today. Not quite as frosty as the Widow but respectable with trichs extending right to the tips of the secondary leafs. Trichs are cloudy and have been for some time with only an occasional amber. Next time we see the PE it'll be in a smoke report in about a month. Stay tuned the Widow is up next, and of the 3 seeds that I had, I think she's been the best of the bunch.
