New Grower Stitch's White Sirius first ever grow

Solid grow space Johnny! Love the setup! Props all around! Your white serious is looking like a keeper! Like Yoda suggested, back the light off it you can, alot! Force her to reach for it! Tucking leaves under each other might open her a bit and check back in a week, then hit her with bloom nutes. week 7 -10 for bloom then get her on the flush.:thumbsup:

Thanks Briman, just lifted the cfl to about 12-14" above her, still has some LED side lighting also. Gave her a shot of big bud and some connoisseur a+b to boost the nitrogen and hopefully get her to stretch. Can't believe how sturdy this lil bitch is, hopefully the stumpiness will give her some support and I'll just try promote the stretch now. Any clues on wether to switch to 2700k or keep her on 5600k???

your led may not be helping. led stacks the plants nodes tight! I run led and if I dont back the leds off, I get short/squat bushes. I would run the cfl's and turn off the leds for a few days and help her out. As long as there are led side lighting, she may not feel the need to grow up to the cfl. Just my opinion, running led myself.

Turned the LED's off, they're only 13.8w anyhow and only had the 1 panel on that plant. Again the cfl is about 12-14" away from plant, should I move further for stretch or keep it at a foots distance?

Also any idea on 2700k switch or should I stay 5600k

If you bump up your temps to around 28 it should also encourge your plants to grow a little faster and stretch out. Maybe switch to your bloom CFLs, blue light makes plants stay squat, red light makes them stretch and grow faster.

Thanks treeman, have switched the cfl over to 2700k from 6400k not 5600k as I was saying before (I'm a dumbass), I've kept the cfl 12" above the plant still, may keep it a bit closer as soon as I start seeing some height, plant is scheduled for a feed tomorrow but may cut the grow micro and bloom back a touch as I gave it some connoisseur a+b today

I havent used cfl before, but I think changing spectrum will help, also if you can increase the temps a little that should give them a boost also.

Thanks again @thetreeman, have put your ideas into practice. Decided not to cut back on its feed as I want to see how much she can take, worse comes to worse I'll flush her if she starts to burn but she has taken everything I've thrown at her so far :) will give it a few days to a week and will upload another progress pic. Cheers for the advice guys, you're awesome

Peace

I use a t5 for veg a 8 bank i use warm cold and keep it 24 inches above to get some stretch that is a wicked looking cfl set up you have how many watts are they throwing?
