Enjoyed your other threads so will be watching with interest, I will be trying this at some point too. Best of luck :)

Thanks GMan, turns out it was the silicon glue i'd used as a sealant.

But now the day just gets worse - my light has half-failed :(

Ugghhhh....snowball effect. lame

Completely washed all the gear, soaked stones and diffusers, airline etc in 6.0 water for four hours.

Put 6L of water in a bucket, pHd it, waited an hour, added nutes, ph stable at 6, PPM was 540.

Three hours later the pH is still stable but the PPM is 1640 !!!

This is a single bucket, no topup tank connected - i can't see what is happening that causes the massive jump in PPM !

Any hydro gurus about ?

Man that sucks, I'm already planning on ordering a direct replacement for my main light and I haven't even started with it yet. I hope the seller makes it right for you and does it efficiently and quickly.

If you're lucky it's just a driver, they could send you one in the mail and it would take you about 5 min to fix. Good luck in the meantime Steel, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Hey Steely, with mine it was 6 blown LEDs. Unfortunately, there are now too few left to just bypass. The 2 halves of mine are in a series configuration (voltage divider). If they had been in parallel instead (current divider), I would go for the bypass...

If you have multiple driver units, you might be able to test it by swapping the driver connections around to see if that side lights up. If not, you have a blown LED. As Medi said, you can get them to send a new driver module in the mail and you won't have to send it back for repair.

It can't hurt!

:peace:
