Thanks for your reply.Have you considered a Volcano for vaporizing for the lung harm reduction, or CBD (or THC/CBD) balms for the pain? I love my Volcano, also have lung issues I need to manage. We've had a lot of relief from a scrub on balm/bar that's camphor and 1:1 CBD for my back issues (it saved a ski trip last year) and her back and hip issues.
I'm sure you've considered both, but if not, can't recommend either enough. Then again, a good edible/RSO never hurts either. Good luck! Let us know how the edibles work out for you guys.
I've been vaping with my HerbalAire. Both of us have nerve pain. His nerve pain come from surgery that was performed on him, needlessly in my opinion. Inflammation doesn't come into play with his pain. My pain is from multiple points of spinal injuries, most occurred at one indecent. Inflammation does come into play and it's a different pain on top and contributing to the nerve pain.
If I can find a consistent method of extraction and methods of making edibles, the edibles can be the main method of pain relief and vaping/smoking fill in as needed with micro doses.
For my pain, I may also test run a couple CBD strains and make a tincture from that. I'd like to get off the anti-inflammatory drug I take. Maybe the CBD can help keep me in a better mental state too.
