Pre grow amendment/inoculation for store bought organic compost?

@cloudsosmoke have you ever used any of the pre mixed living soils?

No
Im just a beginner with one or two grows
..so no real experience
But I know it can be slow sourcing authentic ingredients if you don’t want the more mass produced stuff and it’d still give you that spare time to concentrate on dialling in lights airflow etc

Good luck with your grow

Just remembered

Sohum living soil is one crop only (they say) and I think you might have to use at least 3 bags minimum 150L ..can’t quite remember.. but It would be in the detailed description

Indoor Organics ..they have a soil-for-life starter kit and unlike the Sohum you can then keep it going with a no till amendment pack if you choose ..but I’ve never used it

Ethically sourced liquid guano ..when I spray this on my plants they always green up happily
https://batmaster.co.uk/Products (Also on eBay I think)

This is quick and easy to use

I was actually looking at the "Eco-life starter kit" from Indoor organics. It's similar to the soil for life kit but soil composition is a little different. considering it's sent out with 200g of live worms, i'm guessing (or at least hoping) that with some end of cycle amendments the soil could be used again & again. I'll get in touch with them & see what they're saying. They do recommend using 1 x40L bag per plant so my main concern would be final plant size & duration of grow? Something like an Auto Critical XXL in a 40L pot might get out of hand & take it's sweet time getting there?
Also, their kits seem a little over priced. once you've bought the soil everything else on the list can be found for half the price on eBay.

Thanks for the input :)

If you want something to just get the biology in the compost more active, watering in a diluted blackstrap molasses solution (1 T per gal of water) or sprinkling in some organic alfalfa meal will do the trick.
That's the plan :) Blackstrap molasses & seaweed extract to keep the micro herd happy!
