Mephisto Genetics Sour crack dwc - Harvest Day 50 56g dry

@MissUniverse private message with @slowandeasy he is really the Man U want to talk to to help get squared away. Step by step directions that make it easy with no guess work. he’s grown so many plants it’s second nature to him. Everyone he’s helped out has one hell of a groom going right now. Ask @lunarman and @gringuito98 don’t give up though.

100% true! Keep on going! :hump:

Hate to see you stop growing @MissUniverse . Take advantage of the resources that are being offered as available to you. It is such a rewarding hobby once you get everything straightened away. You have had some good grows in the past, you just need some help seeing the tree's from the forest. I look forward to reading your posts. Good luck!

@slowandeasy imm sorry i over reacted to your reply, i was having a bad few days and i know you only want whats going to work best. those plants in the bad were just plants i didnt take out yet that got no water for weeks that i just wanted to see what would happen because of the fact im a stubborn person. the one root was growing out the side of the basket outside of the water, i think between it being above water by about 3 inches along with me pushing the basket to the side and smooshing the root it killed it off, I looked at it closely and it was cut right at the edge of the mesh net. I have biofungicide in it, so it shouldnt be root rot, i have no gnats or other pests and i did clean my tent out with peroxide, then isoprpyl alcohol, then vinegar, then dawn soap that took about 5 hours to do, and then i also watered my soil plants with antifungal added to water. I also used some neem oil on the soil plants because its so early on. i wanted to tackle the plants (they only have their second set of true leaves so no bud on any of them to hurt the plants). I then drained the res of the dwc sour crack the next day and change dthe rest today and have it at 5.8 again. everything is fine. Could the issue be that the bucket is black and causing the ir spectrum on the led's to soak up more heat causing it to get hotter? I know im working on a chiller right now becaus ei dont have one and it should be up in a few days because i gotta get it figured out (im not savvy when it comes to this). I am just very stressed with having put all my eggs in one basket before and as such am doing super small sour cracks in soil i know i have a super small that will fit the soil sour cracks for enough bud to get me through if dwc fails.

It's all good. Like I said, we are all here to help. So First things, what are your temps? How big is your pump? No bugs in Soil plants? Any issues with last grow? DWC Needs max Oxygen if your temps are not ideal. If you are struggling to do DWC due to temps, that should be fixed for optimal results. I may suggest trying Coco, if you are unable to achieve good temps. DWC at highrer temps can work if you have enough Air injection. But if not, root rot will happen easier. I will be honest. I think you would do very well with Coco, but might struggle with DWC due to environment. Adding a chiller is kinda expensive for a small spot but if you want to do DWC we can all help you with that as well. Just keep in mind that you either need a bigger pump or really should fix the environment if you want to do Hydro. I an here to help anytime. Ask away. Keep your head up. We all understand your frustrations. Peace, slow

One Word out of everything you wrote, GroBro slow stands out above all others in your post .... And it is often the most overlooked in a Grow ...... That Word

Environment

Seems we focus on lights, pot sizes, growing mediums and fertilizers, while Environment gets some attention, that attention is usually when the Grower realizes that it their Environment that is outa wack - not the lights, medium or fertilizers ......

While I am not a hydro grower seems aeration / temps come under environment and a poor environment will result in lower or possibility zero yield.

That’s right bro .....

@MissUniverse ..... Howdy Hi Hey - Hows ya doing? It’s OldBoy here saying don’t give up girl, you’ll never fail unless you quit .... and your are not a quitter ......

In the Mephisto Grow Battle we watched many drop out and one in particular was having an issue but the Grower didn’t give up, he ended up with a nice harvest and good looking plant - he actually transplanted from hydro into soil when plant was 4-5 weeks old and plant accepted - point is most would of gave up but he didn’t and now he has a Winner in his tent .....

Life is full of disappointments but those are building blocks for future success ..... @slowandeasy is reaching out as well as others and me to as a Senior Stoner .....

Hang / grow / learn / succeed

YOU CAN DO IT. :backside:

Peace,
OB

Don’t fret Miss Universe, I’m so sorry about what happened to your plant. It could have happened to any of us DWC growers. Your newest girl looks off to a good start! Best of luck! :d5:

Absolutely @MrOldBoy, ENVIRONMENT is the most important factor in growing. If your temps are low, you will have slow growth. Too hot, can cause a wide variety of issues... especially in Hydro. While we can't be perfect with our temps always, it should be our goal as indoor growers to have as stable of an environment as possible.

That being said, I suggest Coco for her, because of higher temps. Coco can be ran at higher temps than Hydro, but you must keep them watered. In a small indoor grow a Coco plant can flourish under higher temps, and an Automated System can be added very cheaply if so desired. The same nutes can be used for DWC as Coco, so no additional expenses are not needed if you handwater. I did Hydro many years. The yields can be amazing, I did a 3 Bears OG in DWC and it was massive. But massive is not always ideal or better. Some strains will get massive in Coco. I have to use small pots to combat this. My Sativa Testers are HUGE and in 3 Quart pots of straight Coco. That is a small pot, more work...but the plants are insanely big for their pot size. Whatever she decides to do, an ideal environment will yield better results and we should all strive to improve our environment. Peace, slow
