Indoor Sofem Ryder Die in ProMix HP & Mega Crop

Good to hear from you @Kyote. Hey, if you won some seeds with your photo (very spooky by the way), you are already good, the bud will be a bonus.

My grow this winter is much the same motivation wise. I have enough Cosmic Queen and 24 Carat to keep me supplied for months, so this grow is just to play with some new strains, and learn more about this mischief, including making some seeds. If I end up with some nice bud that is tasty and different, so much the better.

You'll love the Apera. Mine is still a happy camper after being on duty for a year. I haven't even bothered to recalibrate - every time I check it with the reference buffer, it is no worse than 0.02 or so off perfect, which is more than good enough for me. I store it in KCL that I made up myself - I just replace the stuff in the storage cap as needed to keep it clean. The commercial storage solutions are stupid expensive in my opinion, and a supply of clean home made solution seems to work perfectly.

Whatever you do, don't store your probe in plain water or let it dry out, either can kill it. Are you getting the version with the replaceable probe?

On the health front, the other half and I, and our pup, are all doing fine. Not a lot happening in our location covid-wise, but it will get cranking here before the winter is up. We are being pretty careful about it. The news about vaccines seems encouraging, other than the fact that us Canucks are unlikely to see a supply until spring or summer if not later next year. With luck, we can avoid the virus until then. Boy, you have to feel sorry for medical staff during this mess. If people do not take this seriously and behave themselves, our hospitals could be completely overwhelmed before the winter is over. The good old US of A is doing its best to illustrate the problem for us.

Good luck with the rest of this grow, and with the next one Kyote, I look forward to seeing how you make out. :pighug:

I will store the Apera in solution for sure. I like that the probe is replaceable.

Yep, stay safe for sure. We have basically been on semi lockdown since March here. It is starting to blow up on the island now :nono:
And yes, I feel for medical staff. I was in urgent care the other week and there sits a woman without her mask on. When I said something, I got a big F off from her, but she put her mask on.

And give the pup a cookie for me

Her royal pupness says thanks for the cookie! :thanks:

Glad to hear that you and yours are taking covid seriously. Too bad about things hotting up on Vancouver Island after not much happening for so long. I hope you and your family get through this mess without coming down with the virus. There will be an effective vaccine, all we have to do is avoid the virus until next spring or summer. A big pain in the butt, but a hell of a lot better than sucking on a ventilator or inadvertently killing family or friends by passing the virus on.

The nasty problem is that something like 40-50% of cases have no symptoms at all, ever, and all cases are infectious for a day or two before developing symptoms. Bottom line is that anyone can be infectious anytime, so we need to behave accordingly. This makes the virus tough to control, which many jurisdictions seem to be learning the hard way.

Anyway, good luck with it. :pighug:

Yep, i'm super high risk here so i'm laying very low, as is my wifee and daughter. The dog though, he likes to go on a stroll now and then

And it is a pain for sure. I was hoping to Laughlin for a little winter break but that can wait till next winter.

Take care grobro

Ryder Die Day 57
Week eight on the Ryder Die is in the rearview mirror

F.N. said to put the groceries to em, so I have.:eek1:

Upped the feeding to 3g/gal MC 1part, 1g BE. H2o is rain water ph'd now is approximately 6.2 - 6.5 as I am only using drops until the new Apera gets here. Feeding every watering now. I water when the pots feel less than 50% than how they feel when wet, which usually means a watering with feed every 12 to 24 hours.

The tent VPD is 1.2 to 1.5 for the duration of the grow. Here is a link to VPD calculator

Light meter reads 50k, for reference.

Light is at 19/5.

Well when you said put the groceries to her, I did. And will up to 4g/gal next time I mix in a couple days. All the pieces of the puzzle are starting to come together after a year indoors, and I feel a bit more comfortable with what I'm doing. Appreciate the help! :d5:

Ryder Die Day 63
Week nine on the Ryder Die is in the history, on to week ten

Looks like a solstice or Christmas chop in their future :jump: Papa may even go sooner than that

I will feed this week, then h2o only until they are chopped.

After a year, I'm starting to be a bit more comfortable with this indoor growing. Kinda like the pieces of the puzzle I've gathered over the last year have finally turned into a picture for me. Not a complete picture, but an idea of what the pic looks like anywayz.

So until next week, stay safe, stay stoned, and happy holidaze :d5:

Ryder Die Day 70
It's getting to the end here for Ryder Die. I had no idea what to expect from these and they have been a fun little grow. The trichomes on Baby Bear are rich!

Last watering today and will go dark with them in the next couple days before chop.
