@Mr. Sparkle im opening the bags once a day and shaking the buds around and giving a quick inspection for mold before i close them and hang em back up.
Probably doing this for 4-7 days.
I know the main cola will take longest to dry.
Going for a slow dry and long cure.

From everything i read about paper bag drying(going to read a bit more too) it seems pretty simple and idiot proof.
Seems to never get mold drying in paper bags unless rh is crazy high. Ive read of people drying whole plants and forearm sized colas in paper bags, just takes longer.
It also seems that drying in paper bags is slow enough that it would be really hard to overdry the buds.


I left some trim in its own paper bag drying just so i can use some of the stems to judge off of. What i mean by this is im thinking whenever a bare stem in the trim bag is dry enough to snap or almost snap means i can probably start jaring and burping the rest of the buds about a day after that.

I will also go off what you were saying about the outside of the buds feeling drying and burping to slowly lower rh.

Im wondering how long should i give to see what the rh is going to be in the jar the first time i put my buds in the jar before i open it again?
Will it be fine if i wait 12hr before burping for the first time and then open it once or twice a day for a few mins to burp after that?
I just dont want to wait too long to burp if rh is high because im worried about mold and i dont know how long it takes for mold to form and at what rh.
I hope you understand what im asking lol.
I will be using boveda 62s.

Lol so true, I was just sitting in the garage thinking to myself. This blueberry is starting to taste really good now, and only have like a weeks worth left lol.

@fisherking Im going to make this last me until my next harvest, hopefully lol.
Shouldnt be too much of a problem because i just started using cannabis again in september after not being able to for about 4 years so i have a pretty low tolerance still.
Most of the time i only smoke one bowl in my source vapes ghost a few hours before bed to help me relax at the end of the day and sleep well.
And i know this probably sounds nasty but since i only vape on the lowest temp setting im able to save the vaped bud for joints(feel free to give me a hard time about this lol) so far ive only done this once though and it did get me properly stoned. May end up using 50/50 vaped bud/normal bud in the future for my "recycle joints"

@Noob420 yeah man i did my best trying to put a tape measure and lighter in with some of the pics for size reference lol.

Not sure exactly what the genetics were but back in 2010 i got my hands on a bag of some "blueberry" and it smelled and tasted just like blueberry muffins! Best bud i ever had.
Cant wait to grow some out.

Maybe this blue mystic im doing next will give me a little bit of a blast from the past but im not expecting it to really give me the true blueberry fix.

I know exactly what you mean on recycling, I would def mix in some fresh bud with the vaped.
Yea this blueberry hit the spot but didn't quench what I remembered about the blueberry. It is still great smoke, but will continue the search.
The blue mystic just might give you a hint of what you missed lol, well I hope it does. How did the taster from the NL go over?

@Noob420 the bud i tested had too much leaf in it and it was from one of the lower buds that wasnt fully developed (most people would have put it in the trim pile i think)so it tasted leafy kind of i guess.
Wasnt really a proper piece of bud, got me stoned though.
I still have some bud that i bought, so i will use that until its gone so that my NL has a chance to dry and cure properly.
I may just have to try a piece of the NL tonight though since you asked.:smoking:

@Smorf, I say try some and then you can tell the differences throughout the drying and curing process and appreciate the cured more.

You'll know with in an hr or less if its a full jar, doesn't take long, and yeah it will be fine if you wait 12hrs before the first air exchange, as for the bovedas there great for maintaining or bringing buds back up to that RH, but wait till your say with in 5% or less before throwing them in as they can suck or give back moisture relatively quick.

Btw no problems that's what these forums are here for, one day you'll be teaching me or helping others with their first grows, it will all come around full circle, enjoy the spoils and the new knowledge your learning as you go along
