New Grower Short Stuff Gorilla OG coco grow with autopots

If your internode spacing stays small than you probably will be okay. If your main stem grows Too Tall then you could end up with issues, I usually start plucking leaves off my main stem if it's growing too fast. If I'm lucky all the tops kind of level each other out and I end up with a 36 inch tall plant that's about 36 inches around. That's the way I like to grow

I think if I were going to try a different method I would probably put in a scrog or honestly it would be more of a horizontal screen to help you keep your canopy level.

Thanks @jingo yep thats what i was think more a screen than a scrog, put all that experience I had in the dreaded grow box to good use!

Will keep an eye on internodes - apparently one of the benefits of the CDM lamps is they promote shorter spacing - well so the guy from the shop told me anyways!

Here you go 2 weeks since seeds popped I’m loving these autopots,

PH going up a bit more than expected but a few drops of down keeps it in check aiming for 5.85 in veg

] So 17 days in auto pots now all looking pretty sweet. Just did the first bit of LST training to get them as level as poss before 2nd stage as they grow into scrog net which i have at 14 inches above pot.

Had a bit of nute burn on tips of one of the girls and a little bit creeping in on another so diluted reservoir with RO - i did think it was a bit too hot even using the canna light feed schedule. PPM now 500 E.C 0.9. Bit happier with that.

Dropped light to 26 inches above canopy and also added in my LED panel from the off the shelf cabinet system - That's at same height and sort of beaming in at an angle. Got it on veg & bloom thought a bit of red light wouldn't hurt autos.

So end of week 3 now, girls seem to be getting into their stride. One offers a bit runty - or maybe its going to throw more Sativa

Changed res, EC 1274, PPM 632. PH 5.87.

Canna A&B - 47ml per litre

Half strength Cal Mag, Rhizo & Rhino silica & power zyme

Temp 75, humidity 55%

Have started LSting, they seem to recover quick from a beating

300w CDM & 300 W LED running side by side

Hey mate, good luck with your grow. I'll be watching carefully as I have just changed to autopots and coco, after using airpots and soil for a while. I'm using Biotabs though so just water in the res.

One of the babies in my first two autopots is a Shortstuff Gorilla OG as well! Very strange!

I've grown GOG before and she's a beast and can get really big and tall.

Thanks hippy71, size is one of my concerns i must admit so LSTing and then hopefully the net will keep them under control when they hit that - I hope!
This grow is really different to my previous 2, the plants look so much better already.

Autopots so far are really easy to manage, did a complete flush out before adding new res just now - got rid of the sediment that might of clogged the filter if i let it build up

Light from the phillips CDM lamp looks more like day light and hoping the LED will give it a bit of a boost (that was left over from my troublesome off the shelf box kit) and I invested in some auto control kit for humidity and temp - really simple Inkbird plug in jobs from Amazon that keep it all consistent. running 24:0 as well.

Cool man. I run 24/0 as well the last two grows. Don’t think I will go back to any less. Makes it much easier to control the environment.
