New Grower First Grow - Autopots - Fastbuds Gorilla Cookies

Hey everyone! Been lurking through these forums for the past few days trying to find some ideas for my first grow and someone suggested I document my grow on here to get more advice and help. I thought I was off to a pretty good start, but my plants seem to have slowed down a lot in the past few days and I am looking for some guidance.

First some info on the grow:

Indoors
AC Infinity 3x3 Grow Tent Kit
AC Infinity S33 Ion light
3x - 5 Gallong Spring pots set up on auto pots

Medium (This came recommended by my local hydro shop. I had originally planned to use soil, but he said this would be better with the autopots)

The tent is on the ground level of my house and the temps pretty comfortably stay in the 70-75 range during the day and might drop down to as low as 65 when the lights are off. Humidity has been more of a struggle. House is forced hot air and it sucks the humidity right out of the room. Added a humidifier but cant get the room above 50 percent. That should be it for the setup and what I am working with. Next post I will detail my progress so far.
I'm usually pretty happy when I can get humidity above 45%. Mine usually runs in the 30s. My plants are usually healthy, though I don't see the yield a lot of people do and suspect that's the reason.

Ok thanks that is good to know. Trying my best to keep the environment as stable as possible, but good to know that I can still make it to the end with good results even if its not 100 percent perfect.

They don't call it weed for nothing! :growing::muahaha:

Sup everyone! Figured I would spare everyone the boring updates and wait a bit more time in between. This is about a week since the last post. Im sure they are well behind where they are supposed to be, but I am happy with their progress considering I thought they were goners. Any opinions on how much longer I have to hand water before turning the autopots on? I have read when the leaves reach the outside of the pot. If thats the case I think I have to wait another week or so.

I don’t have experience with auto pots, but everything I’ve read suggests exactly that

yeah, you have overwatered them but great job getting them back on track... but be careful still... they seem to still have overwatering symptoms. Id treat that substrate like a normal peatbased medium in terms of eatering, so while you get the hang of it, better not to water every day.

and yes, wait until leaves have reached and clearly passed over the edge of the pot... and since you have had overwatering issues, I would wait a bit more than that to make sure there is a good root system developed before turning in the autopot system or youll just make things worse.

Thats definitely some sound advice up above. I tried bottom watering with makeshift wicking bases and it just caused me problems so now they just wick up runoff to take up any washed out nutrients and plain waterings runoff so I dont have to water ever day or other day. Reservoirs and autowatering systems are just too much for me to deal with, I cant be home often enough to monitor a system like that.

Ahh crap, I was afraid that I was over watering them. Just out of curiosity what tells you that they are over watered so that I know for the future?

I tried to water them less and give more time in between watering so that the medium could dry out, but they seemed to look healthier when I would water them every day. As in, more progress was happening on days that I fed. I gotta get this dialed in more, but I'm still happy they aren't dead and have started to at least grow a little lol.

Thanks for the advice!
