forgot to ask, you didn't say how long you let it drip out, I ran out of ec so after dripping a couple minutes, I squeezed out what I could and reused the ec to finish up my last jar.
then when done I put my cookie sheet on my back heating pad and she was done in 12,probably less but waited anyway.

I change coffee filters every 20 min, it usually finishes dripping before that but for me i watch a show in between me changing the coffee filter and it makes it go faster lol

I finished evaporating most of the alcohol/water out, i have roughly over 4 grams so far from one pan/based on the others i maybhave a total of 14 grams. going to vacuum purge and update

I work a lot with grain alcohol, tinctures and RSO type concentrate.
Figured I'd try my hand at an everclear shatter.

I did a quick wash with about a half oz of very sugary popcorn buds and trim and about a half bottle of Everclear both had been in the freezer for a day or so.
Knee hi stockings, unbleached paper coffee filter and a metal permanent coffee filter to strain...sorry no pictures.:smoking:

It sat in our spare room a couple of days then I got impatient and put it on our wood stove.

For safety reasons I do not recommend evaporating alcohol inside on a wood stove.
The fan was on and the wood stove is a sealed box.

Marley always helps me and is very interested in everything.

I folded this in wax paper (parchment paper or silicone is better to use).
Flattened it with the heat of my hand then put it back on the wood stove in the pyrex with another dish on top.

Finished product.
Eek's finishing what we have in the bong...so we'll do a smoke report in a bit.

Ive tried that way before and end up getting more of a green color though, I shook it for 10 seconds. The longer the weed sits in alcohol the more green it becomes thats why a quick wash through the weed in a coffee filter works best

I have one jar full of liquid sittin on the balcony right now and i did use some little smelly stems, some little flower and vaped weed plus some trim i ground up through a mesh to give this extraction thing a try. I am using 96% bio ehtanol and i let the plant matter sit for like 24+ hours in the jar, stiring it to a vortex and changing directions from time to time befor i, yesterday the day after mixing up, filtered it with unbleached coffee filters. Its like -1 to -2°C outside, the plant matter was frozen before doing this and the ethanl was sitting outside 2. Im still not sure how to do it, with or without paper in the bowl...but ill have to use a heat plate to evaporate because i have no other warm spot with airflow...

Made it, since i used leftovers of leftovers its not gotten shatter but something i refer to as 'black goo'. Will drop some pics later on, love it so far ist really like tar with a smooth hashish Aroma and a sedating effects and smooth high, pretty potent 2. Will definitley do that again. Was my first try on extracts since i could not get me to put my weed in anything that could go wrong
