Indoor Ready, Set, Grow! Onxy Grow Journal

I really love the setup, hopefully some day LED's can compete price wise with CFL's so we can all use them. very cool.

as long as those pistils are still white and healthy and you have time for the seed to mature they can be pollinated. im running an experiment now to see the best time to start pollinating. its really amazing how little information is easily available on the web whe it comes to producing marijuana seeds. hopefully autoflowers will get more people interested in making seeds.

great grow! ill be watching

Hey guys, another update here. If ANY OF YOU see something i am doing wrong or can improve upon please let me know!!!!!
Also i started some MI5 aswell 1 broke the surface, I killed 4 seeds of the MI5 already :crying: guess i am still developing my green thumb  i beilive the soil got to dry and they never broke the surface... this time i put sandwich bags over them to keep the moisture and humidity up until they break the surface.

Currently giving the budding Onxy 1/2 tsp of grow big and big bloom per gallon
Current PH of water is 6.8

looks like your on your way to a nice harvest!congrats!

NC420 always shared a trick to help with germ. lightly cut the crease with a razor blade to help them open. It helped my germ rates just don't cut into the seed. you may choose to soak for a few hours to soften a bit before you do.

I tend to have some trouble with the young ones too. It def. helped me a lot when they got to about 2 weeks, I didn't worry nearly as much then.

plants look healthy
surprised there not a touch bigger maybe your intial pot should be a touch bigger it may be checking them back

looking good so far

don't go throwing those seeds that didn't pop away, you never know they may pop later down the track, transfer them to party cups and leave them somewhere warm like a window sill and see what happens over the next few months, i've had seeds suddenly decide to pop through the soil 6 weeks after i gave up on them and left the cups on my window sill, i usually do that if i get no result within 2 weeks

but nevertheless don't throw them away, unless you dump them in your garden, this is also a good idea as if they do eventually grow, you'll have them in the back yard

Ok guys need a bit of help here, THe MI5 i started isn't doing well, only 1 has breached the surface. i have 4 more that i germed... 3 of them just started to breach the surface then stop. They seem to have not moved in almost 48 hours. Those 3 still have the shell on them and are barely above the surface... I had the MI5's for about 4 months sitting in my night stand drawer in there orginal packaging. Could the seeds just be bad?

hrmm i am unsure i don't have anything to take the temp of the soil... they got right into jiffy potting soil. The onxy i started all spouted and went fine without any issues, the tent stays around 78 degrees. i just added a bit of ph'd clean water to them to re-wet the soil around them...

When you touch the jiffy pot is it warm to the touch? Or does it feel a little chilly? Temps are key with this kind of thing. Needs to be warm to the touch. Also, don't water too much. You want the medium to dry up a bit to make the roots search out the water and grow.
