Indoor Ready, Set, Grow! Onxy Grow Journal

it is chilly to the touch, i just moved them to a warmer environment, I think the water was a bit on the colder side instead of around room temp. If the soil warms up it is possible that it will start growing again? or are they already to late to save?

put a small heat pad under plant--i have good results for the first week of there life with it especially while its so cool

It's totally possible they'll continue growing when it warms up. They may have just gone dormant.

Hey Boss! No worries, bro - they may not be a lost cause at all.

I've been using a cheap (but accurate) meat thermometer when doing my last couple rounds of germs and have made sure that the soil temps have stayed between 78-80 F. Before I saw anything breaking the surface, I watered the seeds every time the surface of the soil dried out - even if it was still wet less than 1/4" below. As soon as I saw something breaking the surface, I would start holding off between waterings. Like The Medicine Man said, one the roots start to grow, it's good to make them do a little bit of searching to find the water. This also prevents damping off from over-watering. After breaking through the surface, I would water those ones only once they were pretty dry down to the depth I planted the seed. This way I was sure that no water was sitting around the fragile stem for extended periods causing damping off.

Hey guys another update, i decided to move my 4x2 tent to a new location so here it is. Also did bad on the MI5, only 1 ever sprouted kind of a let down was really looking forward to them, hopefully the 1 i have will be a nice female, only time will tell. Also i just had a Califlower Auto break the surface its a HBD x with Sweet Seeds' Fast Bud #2. I also have another 3 germing now which should be ready to go into the soil tomorrow morning

looking good lykaboss.sending good karma for your Mi5!

i have a question about mold and rot, with it venting and blowing the air into the attic with my 4x2 foot tent humidity stays around 40 percent. Can this cause rot and mold in my attic? I am wondering because (not trying to sound snobby) but i have a very nice big home, would hate to end up with rot and mold in the long run.
Thanks

That's hard to say. I would recommend trying to get a reading from your attic in a few different places to see if the humidity holds. I would also check the temps too.
I would def. put a circulating attic fan that stayed on up there. But I'm no mold expert though.

Agree with TBM and gb - 40% isn't that high and as long as there's good ventilation and air circulating, you should be groovy. Do you have a lot of belongings in your attic? Any open boxes of clothes, fabrics, books or anything? If so, you might want to seal those up just to be safe - they'll be the first to suck in any humidity being blown up there and the first to mold.

Plants are lookin great, btw - that Onyx is badass! :smokebuds:

Thanks kindred, nope i have nothing in my attic at all, i can't wait untill these Califlower break all the way open and start to show some green
