Indoor Ready, Set, Grow! Onxy Grow Journal

Found me a male today guys, 1 out of the 7 decide to show its was time that its balls dropped, Which is a good thing to be honest i want that pollen :) now just to find a proper place to isolate it

Ok so another small update with my ONXY grow, woke up this morning and 1 more drop testicals on me... I was really hoping only 1 would go male, looks like i am going to have to put it on the chopping block after work :ama: That leaves me with 5 total and 1 male isolated, out of that 5 i know for sure that 2 of them are in fact females. I just hope the other 3 go female aswell.

If your keeping a male for stock instead of just killing it like you said keep them both and whichever one suits your liking,(ex. Lots of pollen, bud sites, Structure, smell, height, etc.) use that one to make your seed. Just saying :)

thanks bro, i will do that keep both and see, i will take pictures of the males when they grow just a bit more. This will be the first time i have tried to harvest pollen so i imagin i will need a bit of help on when they are ready to get a shake down to grab that yellow dust.

ok guys i have a question, this is the first time using these smart pots, also this is the first watering that i put water directly into the smart pots as i believe the roots are just hitting the hot soil. So i go to water them and WOW the water comes out the sides like crazy, i know you should have some run off but is this normal? I would assume the water laying in the bottom of my tent will just get absorbed and evaporate.... Any input greatly appreciated. Thanks

Water the smart pots SLOWLY...and I mean VERY slowly lol. I water mine in rotation of 3 plants, Splash plant 1 with small amount of water, then 2, then 3, then 1, then 2, then 3...etc. By the time you make it back around to plant 1 it has had time for water to soak in. Also I water more towards the middle of the pot because a noticed if you get too close to the edges of the smart pots it does quickly run out. Once you get it down (took me like 3 weeks lol), you will barely see any run-off coming out the side and it will all come from bottom. Make sure you elevate your smart pots at least 1/2'' off the ground as well, and don't let them touch anything. Leave all sides open.

+1 thanks roller, exactly what i was looking for a nice detailed explaination and a watering technique. I will do this from now on :smokebuds:

No problem man, your plants are looking great too by the way. Soon we will have enough LED growers for a sub forum :D
