Lemme introduce the project:

This is suposed to become a Stealth pc case, for growing two (maybe 3) plants at once. Passive to changes in the lamp's scheme in order to achieve so.

I didn't gut my pc case YET, but I've drawed in a picture I've taken, so I could "imagine" the proper way to do this...

There are some few issues that has to be considered:

Budget = Lowest

Wattage = 150w total (6x 25w) being [4x spiral CFL, two 6500k and two 2700k] and 2x "3U" regular cfl also dualspectrum... (hanging downwards) You'll get it when you see da pics:

seen from the top: top.jpg

the side: side 2.1.jpg That's aproximatelly 9000 lumen output.

Yield = Only for me, so it doesn't matter if it's gonna be little. I just need a heavy smoke to help me surpass my insomnia, and maybe a daysmoke would be good too, but thats a secondary priority!

I'm actually a heavy smoker (aka pothead), so I intend to keep developing the desing and the project on and on, until I can Achieve higher yields. But so far, this shall be the beginning of a study about hefty grows under CFL.

The strain: Lowryder #1 (Beanies I got as gift from a very special friend)

There might be also a Sugar Mango Ryder (fem) if it germinates [got it as freebie, long time ago].

Might be purchasing Lowryder #2 in a not so distant future (to keep testing)

Will consider bending the plant (LST) in order to achieve a single plant pc case, specially if LR2 grows much taller than LR1. Sort of Scrogy.
(but this is a future project, anyways)

Enough Spoken!

Haters: Flame good, but help me improove it so don't come saying it sucks and then leave... Atleast share your way of doing so!

Thanks for the atention and for stopping by!

Forgive my spelling mistakes... Cos english is not my main language.... I love you AFN community!

For those who'd like to know how stealthy i want it: check out the comparison table I did from all kind of "akasa" pc fans... I want it to be extremelly silent, and I also want to share the secret.

P.S.: Charcoal Filter not included in the project YET, so it's gonna smell...

I will keep ya'll updated if I manage to fix a filter and everything... but im quite sure i'd have to purchase a bigger case anyways.

Sounds like an awesome project!

The pics aren't working for me and the two lines under the one where you mention Lowryder #1 are hard to read.

:goodluck:

Interesting project Gabro, unfortunately your links are not working.
Either copy and past pictures or use the icon with the picture of a tree at the top of the reply box to upload pics, it's the one between the globe with the red X and the film strip.
Look forward to seeing your designs.

Thanks for the PM Garbo.

I can see your photos now and it helps me see what you are planning.

It looks like you are doing some good home work on fans for your grow to keep it stealthy.

Saw your comment on your English, don't worry it is pretty good, I can understand you no problem.

Charcoal filter should be possible, maybe a charcoal extractor hood filter?

Space is tight but no reason why you shouldn't get a nice micro grow going on.

Here is a thread I think will interest you, it is by someone called "Stunted" sadly no longer on the forums but it is a great read - https://www.autoflower.org/f104/micro-growing-stunted-style-19926.html It shows how small a cannabis plant can be grown & flowered.

LR#1 will be good to try it was my first auto grow 7-8 years ago when it was the only commercial dwarf auto available.

Betty boo will be another one from the joint doctor to try.

I'll try to find some other really small dwarf varieties for you, I know I posted one the other day that grows 20cm -32cm but got to try to remember which thread it was in.

Pot size is important in keeping a plant small but you also have to keep an eye on it not to dry out and be careful not to get salt build up.

AfN members are a friendly bunch and I'm sure you'll get help when you need it, don't forget there is a 24 hour help section here too.

A note on visitors to your journal Vs. replies, you will get more visitors than replies, this is because people are interested in your grow, but they won't always have the answers to your questions, some people have more knowledge on certain topics than others. Just hold on in there and be patient or go the the 24Hr help desk.

If for any reason this project should not go so well, don't give up, just try again. You will gain more knowledge each time and being a member at AFN is amazing and you will always learn more from reading the forums and asking questions in peoples grow journal.

Peace bro and good luck constructing your pc grow case

:Sharing One:

I love seeing these pc case grows! Might have to do one myself just for giggles! Skip the filter, get some Una Gel keep it a ways away from the case. Or place some in your living area. you can stealh the Una by putting it in a hollowed out candle, no one will ever know...lol!

I wonder? Have you considered that medically you are attracted to cannabis as a medicine? Maybe you are not a Pothead, but a patient?

I agree about flaming. However, I think you will find that here at AFN, we don't tolerate flaming.

If you ever want to report a post, there is a little ICON underneath every post where you can do that (lower left).

Hope you have a great grow, and I think you got a good idea and a great start

Keep up the good work

I didn't see how big the pc case is, some can be really huge haha. Oh, another to consider is Royal Dwarf from Royal Queen Seeds :) it's tiny supposedly, but I think Betty Boo is the smallest :) good luck! I'm really happy with the old Dell that I converted to a seedling chamber. One day I'll try running a plant start to finish in there.

Welcome to AFN!
