Indoor Prism Lighting Science CMH Test grow - 2018

the wait for my 315w cmh tough but its all good

still got a few auto girls in my tent finishing up under hps I cant wait to see what I can do with the 315w cmh when I get them

I was just thinking about how much I would be saving on my electricity bill when I use the 315w cmh lights compared to what I am using now which is a 600w hps in my tent and a 700w led in my closet I will be replacing them both with 315w cmh lights

it might not be a lot but reducing some electricity usage is better then now at all

Hi man,

Not sure you would be able to place one in the closet. I am sure the temps would be to great. They don't warm! In the summer months here I have to take one lamp out of space and replace with an LED as the temps can get to 31-34c

Niiiiiice, I've been checking out CMH lights these last couple of days and noticed that there aren't a lot of people doing CMH on AFN, so this thread is a god-send :smoking::nicethread:.
Is anyone gonna run the lights in a 4x4 tent? Would be really interested in that.

Subbed :smoker1:.

What size tent you got db? I too am running 600w HPS and would love to see how the 315 CMH pairs up against it:tang:. You really think that the CMH light will replace your 600W HPS yield-wise?

You can check my grow and I think @SHRED is in a 4x4 but he's not in the test to my knowledge

Im in 4x4 tent:headbang::pass:

Ok. Seems im in right place now.
Apologies to all.

Recieved and installed the light yesterday. Been going about 20 hours now.

Very clean boxing
The outer box had a few corner dings that had me a bit worried about package mishandled
But when i opened outer box i was very pleased
Everything was packed nice and neat separate boxes with foam packing.
No lables on any box.
The ballast has an image on box. An illuminati type image thats pretty cool. But nothing to throw a flag about being a grow light. Big plus.

Now that it is up and running. A few things to note.
The ballast needed a small fan on it. I had it sitting on its stand very exposed and after an hour it was too hot to hold. Small fan did the job.

Also. The cmh runs quite a bit hotter than i am used to. Going to have to re route my exhaust in a few days to try to get this adjusted.
If i cant get the temp down it will cause some issues real soon with my dwc res. May have to make adjustments there as well.

The light it self has an awesome footprint and very bright. Mostly a white light. I guess you could call it warm. Being more red than blue.

4 new sprouts under it.
The light lower than 3 ft even with fan blowing straight on the area. Lower than 3 feet and my temp reads 90. At seedling level.
Ill be keeping a very close eye and try to work with this and get it right.
