Indoor Pop22's 2015 Indoor Garden

By bad water, l mean jus that! Last summer I started having plant problems. It looked likePH problems but ph of the soil and the water were good. I tried everything but I didn't figure out the cause until I started my DWC back up. My plants in DWC did the same thing! I bought an RO filter unit and my problems went away. I didn't keep track of my water usage and the filters were exhausted and my water started killing my plants again. I have well water and have had the water tested with nothing obviously bad, but I suspect it it iron in the water causing the issues. I got new filters for the RO and ots working fine again. So don't just assume that well water is good for your plants!

The seedlings are about a week old.

kid i think you just saved me bro i think thats my problem too is my water cause i grow photos with non ph water didnt check shit bag seeds and they grew and flurished now im ina new house i live in the woods now and im thinking i may have bad water thats why i was asking cause my seedlings are dying off really not growing good. and my ph is always on point my self im doing coco previous grow was soil tho... im getting r.o system i been thinking about it for couple weeks now. i have a high 10 ph level and ppm of plain water is a little over 100 ppms those are high numbers i feel like anyone agree???

Its Occam's Razor, the simplest answer is uaually the correct one! If the only thing that has changed is your water source, then its the water with 95% certainty, that's how I founbd this, by the process of elimination

Re-vegged Autos?????

Well, you've all heard me bitch about my crappy water.....lol! Well I've assumed that the plant issues were caused by nute lockout from some mineral in the water, as PH, tested with a meter, was within proper range. As you've seen, it stopped all growth, and started killing the fan leaves first, then spreads to the other leaves. The outer edged of the leaves look like you held a torch to them! The plants were getting yellow. I replaced the filters in my RO unit and now my plants are in recovery. In fact, most have started to grow weirdly! Have you ever, or ever seen, a plant that has been revegged, or a clone taken in mid-flower? ( from a photo-period )
They tend to grow crazy, random leaves, especially near bud sites. Well I have 2 autos that have not continued to flower and have that re-vegged look. Its a shame really, they are both plants that weathered the bad water fairly well, except for the facvt that they now do this and don't seem to want to flower. I have 4 plants that were arrested in early6 flower. I've put them all in my tent, along with 3 photo period plants, and put it on a 12/12 light schedule in hopes that it may stimulate a re-flower. My thinking is, the reaction I'm seeing in these plants is a genetic defense mechanism inherent in photo period cannabis. If this fails, I'll chop them and use them a little at as time in my topocal oils, as they won't be good for anything else.

the forst photo shows 2, identcal plants, started at the same time, and looked like twins until they water damage started. you can see that one bounced back well, but the other has that weird leaf growth. I have an Auto Cush x Chemdogging that did the same thing.

Weirdddd, that one has gone full leaf crazy lol. She looks like she's trying hard to do something... Not sure what yet lol, but she's trying :) I'm very curious to see how the leafy one flowers now.

yea I'm hoping someone has seen this before, but ya know, its my luck I'm the first to report it lol!

UPDATE:

Great things growing in my growroom! Things are looking good. My White Widow Auto has recovered and is flowering nicely again. Probably won't get the harvest I would have from her, but she's going to finish decently it looks like. Looks good considering she just riding the edge of the light footprint!

Behind her is my Blue Dragon. I only decided to name the strain because its so much easier than typing Durrty Dragon x Blueberry Headband every time..............loland it makes labeling the plant stakes easier too. Blue Dragon is 22" tall and 26" wide. when she gets to 31-32" tall, I'll flip her to 12/12. I'll top her one more time as I may SCROG her. Got the 192x3 Reflector set to use both veg and bloom lights, got to feed them girls lots of phtons!
:Growing:

In the back are 3 autos. A Mephisto Bubbly Kush, a Dragon Kush, and a Sour Diesel Dragon. There are a couple mystery plants growing in solo cups too, just for giggles. The Bubbly Kush is looking real fine! I think she may become a good size girl! The DD x KVS ( my Dragon Kush ) is pretty small, maybe a runt, but I'll let her grow a while yet, The Sour D' is looking fine too.

All plants are growing in organic soil Most are in a mix with worm castings and Grow Mire Organic Soil builder. I just changed to adding Cal/Mag at 70-90 ppms per gallon of RO water. I've never had a Cal/Mag issue but I figure with RO water, I should ad a small amount now BEFORE I end up with a problem. (0 ppms is about 1ml per gallon.

Tomorrow I'll update the tent, lots of pollen flying in htere...lol!

Am I on Mars????

I switched out the 300 watt Mars Hydro LED for my "fake" 900 watt light ( really a 450 with 247 watt actual draw ). I new it had more red and I figured it would be good foi the plants in flower. DAMN its RED............lol! it is annoyingly red, in fact, I'm going out to buy a duct fan so I can close the tent door.........

I have 5 plants in the tent. a White Widow, a Blue Dragon, a test plant for a private grow, a Yoda's Dragon's Breath, and 2 Cush Dog ( Auto cush (?) x Chemdawging. I've named this Cush Dog as to distinguish this from Mrphisto's Auto Cush x Chemdawging as my male was only gueesed at as being an Auto Cush, so I don't want anyone thinking these are a Mephisto cross, that way if they have problems it won't reflect on Mitch. That being said, its a very nice plant . They are all on a 12/12 schedule, because my Blue Dragons are not yet autos.

Update:

SCROGGED my Blue Dragon. O built a 46"X46"X26" SCROG net from PVC pipe and flourescent red mason's twine, to make it visible when working with the plant.
It was my first time doing extreme plant training. I bent each branch, then starting squeezing the stem near the beginning of the bend, until I could feel the stem start to crush......what a scary feeling! But I continued. When I felt the stemcrack a little, I moved up the curve a bit and pi9nched the stem again, until in had a nice curve and the branch was about horizontal. After all branches were bent to shape, I set the net in place. I had a little room on the front corners, so I stuc k the 2 autos that were in the rear there until I can figure out what to do with them. This is a learning excersice so I expect to make mistakes along the way. This is a practice run to grow a 1 pound plant this way. For this grow, I will use just this new light, a Mars Hydro 192x3 Reflector thru out the grow. Already. I can see changes are needed. I have to shorten the legs of the net 2-3 inches to better expose the center of the plant.

Wow pops! Seems like we are always on similar "journeys and projects" also am doing a scrog for the first time almost identical to the one you built with mine only being 24"x24" for just one plant.... I kept messing with the height of my net as well, at first I thought it was to "tall" than cut and lowered it, doh than I couldn't get watering can under there... Got some couplers and raised it again... After about three times doing that in the end I only made the height shorter by like one inch... :crying: most certainly is a learning curve... You'd be very surprised how quickly the net fills out, In two weeks time my plant went from just the middle of the net to now ALMOST filling the top completely, also got all the plant matter underneath gone....
now I am bout to flip to flower and hope she stays low enough to be able to fit in my tent....
Your net looks EXCELLENT my friend... :karma Cloud: on your learning grow! LOVE IT! Experimenting and trying unfamiliar stuff is always the best way to learn and improve your grow! Lol now I see every plant as if it would be a good candidate for scrog, where as before wouldn't have been able to know squat..... Very excited to follow along! :subbed:
