Welcome to the club, @Daledenton84 ! I was asked to start the ny growers thread due to nys legalization of recreational use. A lot of new faces popped up lol and since I’d been a member of AFN for almost 4 yrs they said I had the most experience… so here we are! If you haven’t gotten a documented grow start to finish on here, you should. Then submit for approval from admin and you’ll be in the cultivators club where first tier allows you to join grow and shows testing new genetics… you grow and journal for free seeds! Pm or post any time you have questions or wanna chat!

This community is awesome! In very little time here, my solo cup grows are now bigger than my first grow! as @Jpkindbud said, document a grow and get into some real fun!

Welcome @Daledenton84! It’s nice for us to get together in this community to share the NY love. Speaking of which, I’m looking for loca (or near local) sources for rock dust such as basalt or granite and glacial rock dust if it’s available here. Anyone know where I can look? I’ve tried my local horticultural shops and found one that might be able to help me out when spring comes around. I don’t want to be shipping all this heavy rock around when I can possibly buy it more locally. I don’t mind driving either, I have a Tesla so going a little distance is fun nonetheless.

@Kreatnkaos thanks for the welcome. I have no clue where you might find something like that or even sure I know what it is. I'm learning to grow in coco and CoM products right now. Before now I had only used Fox farms products. so that's about as far as my experience goes.

I appreciate the share of @BowHunt3r. They do have some things I’m looking for and have used their products. I know a few local shops carry some of their products but definitely not all.

Great. I tried doing all the chems with coco, hydro etc. too much hassle and I don’t get the flavor I’m looking for. I love organics with the blumats, literally set it and forget it. Top dress in flower a few times if need be and move on with life.
The blumats have been shown to increase yields up to 20% in some professional set ups as they allow the plants to drink whenever they want. I’d recommend you look into them if you want to spend less time mixing and more time with things that are more important IPM management as an example for one.
