Gonna start slow as I’ve heard from those on the forum that it’s quite the transition. Thinking a composter is in order first…
Definitely is a transition compared to using bottled nutes, But I find using organics dry maintenance is much easier. the biggest thing is making sure that there’s enough nutrients in the soil and there’s a large enough root mass so this way the microbes in the soil have time to break down your amendments to make the plants available. i’m sure you know, but BuildASoil has a lot of resources for you to at least start to get an idea of what you need to do. There are some great books out there that you can read, and these are the books that BuildASoil used to build their understanding to.

The last time I ordered some real growers recharge, I saw that they had something called grow dots. So these are a slow released chemical fertilizer but I mixed into a Coco perlite make sure. They’re working really well so far, and it’s almost as if I was growing organically in terms of the maintenance. So if you want to have some thing as an intermediary between the two, the grow dots might be really good. I’ll post some pictures of my girls and flour later

Oh, and by the way… welcome @Kreatnkaos ! Sounds like you’ll have no problem here. Make sure you document a grow from germ to harvest and tag Man-O-Green. Then you’ll get into the cultivators club. Benefits abound there. Level one has breeder genetic testing where breeders and seed banks will send you seeds to document while testing!

Starting out with my unused peat based soil and Dr earth dry ammendments. Waiting on the last component of my new 4x4 tent setup and gonna do a run of mixed photoperiod. 2 FV F1 and 2 of another strain. Lots of growers on here are no-till and are current on new techniques. So you are in good company!

Yeah i had a test grow of two heavily damaged plants by deer...the gorilla glue was flowering when it was completely topped-it regrew and I’m waiting for amber…another plant was stunted after being completely topped as it was growing it’s 5th node.

but yeah, humidity and rain suck this year! all good. Learning a bunch.
The humidity was killer this year. I got a lot of bud rot in my harvests. Cleaned what I could but chucked most of it. On my next run I’m going to start a breeding project to start trying to develop more mold resistance in autos. Looking to use Bubblegum as one choice parent and a friend has another sativa strain that he claims is very mold resistance, I can remember now what it was. I’d like to get the F1s ready bu summer so I can pop those outside to see which are resistant to mold and keep only those for the F2s.

Keep me posted on your progress with those! Would be good to have mold resistance in autos!

Candy Kush and Northern Lights are reported to be more mold resistant than other auto's as well. Good luck with your crossing endeavor's....

BTW - you chucking pollen from males or forcing with colloidal silver?

Thanks for the welcome. And congratulations on your cruise! It’s always exciting when you first get started. Are used to live in western New York for a short time, our garbage plate still a thing? I’ve been talking to my daughter about it and she’s been wanting to take a road trip and try them out.
I believe that the garbage plate is still around… place I worked at long ago did a fried food garbage plate. Chicken fingers, seasoned and reg French fries. Cheese sticks, onion rings, breaded mushrooms and cauliflower and 6 different sauces. Don’t know what theirs consists of west of Syracuse… may be different.

Power has been off since yesterday evening. Generator is running but no lights over the plants, but I have heat so she stays warm. May be tomorrow before the power comes on. No window to get any sunlight and way to cold to put outside. Hope she survives.

Say safe

Noted for those strains to test! I think I’ll be using STS and female to female breeding as results should come faster then if doing male breeding. It also depends on if I can find a strong male.
