New Grower Northern Lights Auto Flower Grow

Day 2...

At 4:40 AM I dumped the cup of water w/ seed onto a plate of paper towel, drained most of the water and folded the paper towel around the seed. Seed companies method of germinating.

It is now 1030am and I just checked the plate and I think the seed has split open a little bit and I think the seedling can be seen.

Here is a pic of the seed.

Yep that's the beginning of formation. Tomorrow it'll probably have a more visible tap root. Looks like a good start. I'll post some questions to follow up once I have looked through stuff

The grow light looks good, my question is how do you have it dissipating the hot air, it looks attached to the top of the box and while you have it venting out, the light still has radiant heat. Do you have something for smell control? It can get smelly even with northern lights.
Seeds loom like they have good potential

As far as tracking plant progress. I have been working on a whole seed to sale system using mysql and php. Biggest one I am looking at is it's wet weight and dry weight as well as the space it was grown and who was handling

Just remember, you can do a great job, but if there's some inperfections don't be upset along the way, I'm no where near a perfect grower.

The light itself has 2 exhaust fans that are blowing out the top of the cabinet. I also have another small fan that i bought to blow on the plant to help with its strength - that fan can also be used to suck new air in or blow hot air out depending on the position of the fan.

The cabinet is also not air/light tight so there is places where air can circulate.

I have nothing for smell control - the grow room is in an unused bedroom so if it stinks a little bit, no biggie. If it starts getting super stinky I can buy some carbon stuff down the road.

Question - Once the tap root is formed and I put the seed into the soil, should I put a 20ox bottle over the seed for a "humidity dome" for a couple of days or just put the seed in soil and be done with it?
