Hi there everyone!

Hailing from Brazil here. So never mind my English - not my native language.

These are my first Mephistos. I am growing three of them along a Dutch Passion The Ultimate Auto. They have been growing for 4 weeks and 10 days right now.

They were all put to germinate at the same time on jiffy pellets. 4 out of 4 germinated, and the Mephistos were the fastest and most impressive, healthy and vigorous.

My setup is the following:

-1.00 x 1.00 meter tent (that's about 10 sq ft for u 'muricans); 1.80m height (short of 6 in.)
-240w Atreum LED "ARA-20" grow lights (LM301Bs + Creee XP-E deep reds)
-7 gallon Smart Pots (almost 26.5 liters)
-SuperSoil (living soil) recipe made by myself, comprising of Everest Fernandez' super soil recipe (adapted for local ingredients- so I have basalt instead of azomite, and so on), plus bokashi
Carbon filter, negative pressure, and so on.

First picture: 5 days after being on jiffy. Transplanted to smart pots.
Upper left: The Ultimate
Upper right: Creme de la Chem x 3BOG, which came as a freebie from Mephisto
Lower left: NCH
Lower right: SODK

No added nutes, just waterin' 'em - ah, and I have used cheap local foliar 3 times until now.

4 days later, here they are:

10 days after being put on jiffy, here they are. This time, I rotated. So we have them as the following:

Upper Left: CDLC x 3BOG
Lower Left: Ultimate
Upper Right: SODK
Lower Right: NCH
(friend took pics, as I had to be away for the day)

Next day (11 days fro jiffy then), they underwent the first round of LST.
Couldn't to much with the Ultimate, since it was still small in comparison to the others. The 3BOG x CDLC was hard to work with, as it had a really bushy, stout growth, with little internodal space.
NCH was a joy. SODK was good, but not as good. Tied them down.

Next day (day 12), they are fully recovered!

The 3BOG breed suffered a little light stress, though (as I had lowered the light the day before).

Day 15, here they are:
104115253_624549651790134_5112767300149313538_o.jpg

And here is what I got by day 21. They are responding beautifully to LST:

104874355_628009354777497_1717131565440757386_o.jpg

But in terms fondness of LST, nothing could beat the lovely NCH:

Day 23 - one more round of LST. Another rotation of plants.
Upper Left: SODK
Upper Right: NCH
Lower Left: CDLC x 3BOG
Lower Right: Ultimate (this time, being pleasingly LST'ed)

And so this is everything until now. I will post more updates as I have them.

Mephistos are so far the very past plants I have ever grown, considering photos or autos (I have limited experience with the latter, but I also grew them on exactly the same setup). Extraordinary, impressive, grand - whatever! I am shocked.

Lookin fantastic! It is def awesome how fast they grow. Especially the NCH mine got huuuuuuge. I think I ended up gettin closer to 200 grams dry off my biggest if I remember correctly

Whoa, Derek! 200 grams, that's nothing short of fantastic! I'm in love with the NCH, what a beauty to train, what a breeze to grow, and it smells niiiiice the very early beginning. Last time - my first auto grow, same setup - I grew some dutch passions + one dinafem. They were nice plants, but kilometers (I'm a metric guy lol) behind mephistos. I ended up with about 60 grams per plant, with absolutely no training, but now my expectations are higher. These are true jewels!

Below is one of them. It wasn’t the biggest gal but this one was like 120 gs dry

Oh and your English is fantastic! Better than some here that are from murica lol.

What a beauty! Did you defoliate her? I am eager for any tips, since this is only my second auto grow, and I hear and read many contradicting things.

I did some light defoliation. This is when she had a really good trim before I chopped her. That’s why she looks like all bud lol

I have grown lots of Mephistos and have been here on AFN a long time. If you have any questions at all along the way don’t hesitate to ask and tag me. If I don’t know the answer I can point you to the people or person who does. You are really off to a wonderful start.

oh and the auto ultimates get huuuuuuuuge too. Your tent is going to be JAM packed.I would think about tying down the NCH and AU one more time before they finish stretching

that’s just me though lol

Alright, thank you a lot for being available to help me! This is priceless.

This ultimate had a really slow start, had some issues when sprouting: it grew downwards on the jiffy, not upwards, it was a whole lotta mess.

I am thinking of using at least one SCROG net (I have two) to train them when they start The Big Stretch. But I will pay attention to see if more tying down is possible.
