Grow Room NiceNEasy's Nano Dragon Factory.

NiceNEasy, I checked the auto portal and no dragons available. I remember testing the purple Jems and dirty dragons back in the day when the test batches went out. I’d say that was like 9-10 years ago. Later on, I was living in a house that got raided and I lost my entire seed stock which included so many of mossy’s jems and dragons. I had even made my own crosses of some of them that I was never able to grow out. Can’t wait to see how your forgetful dragons grow out!!!
Holy crap, I remember Mossy's jems. A grow bro got em somewhere, little reg autos did better than Joint Dr kit (I think).
How long does it take to acquire the skills/knowledge base to attempt breeding? I fancy having a go at making TH seeds SAGE taste nice, or making Satori an auto.
I lost my job March and would've gone mad without having this. Now the restetaunt is dead there's no work for the foreseeable - I got time. You folk amaze me.

I hear ya....I was forced to retire 20 yrs ago due to health but these last few months have been a stunner with an economy that had been the best ever. . Dragons and their lineage got me through some tough times and still gives me a bit of relief just reading about'em.
Way back when autos were in their infancy and afn was just getting on its feet, Dragons were a popular strain for the medicinal properties that most other strains just don't provide.
I'm not a breeder but I do purposely make a seed or two at times if I have a reliable and stable strain....dunno why 'cause my seed stock is bulging....
I recently popped 2 9 yr old seeds from Stone's lineage....bloodstone male and moonstone fem. Got pollen from the bloodstone and selectively pollinated specific buds on mephisto ghost toof and double grape. Ain't much to it but ya sure gotta be careful with weed sperm!
The moonstone fem is finishing as we speak and just the smell of it makes me drool.

I'm gonna do it! Still not sure what 'stable' means or how to spot it - I buy single seeds and have only finished 2 autos ( have grown a lot of photo periods though). Are the AP seeds particularly good for breeding? Hopefully I've been a good boy this year and Santa's gonna leave me something nice!

The only way to do it mate is to do it. You will make a load of mistakes on the way, and go down a lot of wrong roads, but if you want more out of Cannabis than just smoking then this is the way forward.

Read loads, here's a start. https://www.autoflower.org/threads/...with-auto-fem-seeds.79427/page-2#post-2320023

This may also help, but it is more aimed at a beginner end to end grow. https://www.autoflower.org/threads/the-bedroom-gardeners-bible-50-page-auto-grow-guide.67480/

Don't worry about all the real techy stuff at the moment, if you get hung up on that you will never start. I'm a learn while doing kind of person, and I'm still learning every day - usually painfully. But that' is what makes it fun for me, if it was too easy then I wouldn't bother & be on to the next thing. It keeps me distracted from the bollocks of life.

Well, me and a grow bro are gonna do it - we spent a few hours looking at different plants and the names we could call them should we breed them. Its gonna be a box in a shed with a 125w dual spectrum CFL. We're going to use any auto we got and self it - and also get something else pregnant with the pollen, just to 'dip our toes' as it were. We could have 2 sets of seeds and I for one has never had enough seeds ever. We're going to try making and using colloidal silver. This phone's browser doesn't let me use the links - it's a not very smart phone. In theory on paper with the optimism of the almost entirely ignorant, me and a pal are gonna make some new to the universe brand new plants. How cool is that.

I encourage yall to get ya feet wet! If I can fumble my way through it as clumsy as I am, anyone can do it. I grow so much that it's become just kinda normal...so I found it fun to mess around with breeding a bit the simple way. This morning, I found my simple ways were a success.
I had harvested the ghost toof and double grape to get the seeds from the selected sat buds....had about 20 of each. Ya know I had to see if they were viable....the seeds were dried with the buds so they popped out easily and then stored in the frig for a month. Dropped 2 of each collection and they all popped. Damn...simple works. Seems I stumbled through all of it with no issues. Gonna be fun to see what these crosses do.
My challenge was moving pollen from the sacs to a baggie...then using a paint brush to precisely pollinate a selected bud. Kinda like havin' a new lady to play with....

That is very cool mate.

Received the new light, and it is worse than I ever expected. I know it is only a cheap Chinese LED, but my first reaction was 'I'm never plugging that in'.

  1. Posted like a letter, as you can see from the battered appearance.
  2. The metal frame is so flimsy, it is like baking foil.
  3. No plug, or wiring instructions, or LED details.
  4. Warnings that it gets 'Very Hot', and 'Needs to be earthed', but no earth connections.
  5. Exposed connection wires on the board & was supposed to be splash-proof - yeah right.
So it is back again to the internet etc, to see if I can pick up another tiny LED.

On a brighter note, the Forgetful Dragon seeds are ready. I'll leave them a few weeks, as very fresh still & then crack a few.

Shit! Was looking at that light, only just found a 50w blurple cob £9 Amazon getting somet and will defo watch it being plugged in - its not at my yard.

I've seen the inside of some of those cheap lights, many are a fire waiting to happen. I've seen wiring connections that were just wires twisted together, not even taped! Pleae, save up a little money and buy a good light! Hell, use HPS to get started rather than that cheap crap! Yuo can get an HPS setup for less than $200. It's better than those home burners from China that have no certifications at all ( just fake stickers to make you think they are ). And as much as I hate them, the counterfeit Quantum Boards are much better than those godawful burple lights. Cost you just a little more than HPS and you'll get better light and less heat. Sometimes " saving money" is really wasting money!
