Hello niceneasy.
I have done various nano grows for stealth and my two favorite methods are the Homebox Q30 or the Secret Jardin DP60. My Last grow in the HBQ30 produced 42g of good buds under 50watt of light. My DP60 grows average between 80-100g. All with auto flowers and harvested 9 weeks seed to finish. I even tried a vertical grows in small spaces. The challenge is heat removal and air flow. For my Q30 I fashioned an icebox cooler for it that worked a dream. The 50 watt light in my case was the SANlight Q1w however there are some nice and cheap 100 watt Quantum boards with dimmers that are just under 30x30 in size.
I would recommend not doing 6 solo cups, I would recommend doing 1 good auto. I LST the hell outta mine. I used an 8lt smart pot and folded the top down and had about 6.5lt substrate in it. Coco/peat/soil mix. The soil is about 17cm from the bottom of the tent so I keep my plant LST to not let it get hogher than 20cm or so. Then when it’s max height there is still a good 10cm or so between the top of the plant and the light. I had 2 small usb fans blowing air around. I had a 100mm vko inline extraction fan blowing air through a small carbon filter. (You can make these as well, you just got to buy the carbon, other wise just buy a small one.
This tent stood 80cm high as the carbon filter was sitting vertically on too and could be hidden in virtually and space. I will attach a couple of pictures of both gardens if I can find them that I ran myself in a small flat and no one ever knew. By now I have set up many for folks growing their own medicine who’s primary target is good quality and stealth. I always try to use a good light. The rest you can go “Chinese” on and skimp but be prepared for quality issues and replacing fans etc more often. The Q30 with all the components costs about 300usd to put together. So the first garden pays for its self with your 40g harvest.
There are some pics of the Q30 with both the vertical and horizontal setup.
I used a normal box to “camouflage” the filter as this garden was in my office where is have lots of boxes so just set a big box infront of it and no one had any idea. There is a picture with a home made carbon filter as well. It’s the small square black box. The picture with the bottle was a shoe box taped over the passive intake on the back that then had a small online fan actively bringing air into the box and I would put frozen 1.5lt water bottles in. It fed cold air in the summer months and would last for 8-10 hrs per bottle so just putting in one per day during the hottest periods.
The DP60 with the HLG quantum board was producing really well and is 40x60x60 and was concealed in the kitchen cupboard you can see on the last pic. The small wooden box on top of the bench concealed the carbon filter. I used that for two years in a tiny ass flat and it went completely undetected.
hope this helps for some inspiration
