That fan pulls plenty of air for that size grow. The reviews say it's a little noisy but a good fan. Good luck man.

Edit: Also I have read that pulling air is better than pushing through. That applies to lights and filters.

Like squidherb said, you have plenty of fan there. Your tent is on the smallish side for a 400w HPS which will make it a little harder to cool but, as long as you have enough cool air coming in, you should be able to keep the temps down to about 5-7degreesF above the ambient (outside the tent) temps.

i more then likely will buy a duct muffler i think its called reduces the db by 50%(doubt it but any will help)....thanks for the info bro's and gals(if any) yall are the best.........

? so you both say yes to the fan and filter as long as i have fresh air comming in?? and your saying with that i will only be able to keep my tent about 7degreesF lower then the outside of the tent??if im hearing that correctly???my light will be cooled to right?

He means exactly what it says, keeping the temperature in the tent within 5-7 degrees of the temperature of the room outside the tent. So if the room you have your tent located in stays around 70 degrees F you want to try and keep your temps down to 75-77. When someone is describing how much hotter/cooler their tent runs than the room it's in they say "I'm running X degrees above/below ambient"

That help?
