IMG_20120315_135527.jpgThese are my nutes that i will be using this grow guy at hydro shop said that this was good stuff(for newbies/some pros use it mabye?) either way it what i got so ill give it a go i heard the rapid start from GH was the shit does anyone know when i can star giving that to my plants(it the little bottle in the pic)???? ill start at 1/4 around week 2.5-3 and slowly move up(got that info from muddy!!)ph meter is cheap but i already calibrated it with the solution it seems to read just fine ill only probily use it threw one grow and get a new one(more expensive) but yea thats just a little bit of what im doing just so if all goes well i can teach others that may be having problems(not getting ahead of myself just saying).....

Looks like you're right on track. :D

Sorry, no experience with "rapid start"... :peace:

the other seedlings are just popping out today so i took the dome off....IS THIS RIGHT??

should i remove the humidity dome even tho the rest of my seeds have not sprouted??
I would remove the plant and rooter from the humidome and plant them in whatever container you're going to grow in. Leave the other rooters on the humidome and keep it misted util they sprout, then remove the individual plant, until all have broken ground.

and when i transplant the others in a day or 2 that one 2ft 24watt doesent seem to be enough light for the 5 3 gallon pots???any help would greatly be appreacted and second pic is of the new sprout..
You're right, that is probably not enough light and I've never put seedlings that young under HID's. You may need to get another light... you could gt by with a drop chord and a couple cfl's, in a pinch. :peace:

Thanks!!!if i bought another 24watt t5 would that work?? or get 2 more? im not really into cfl's nothing personal just not strong enough in my opinion..
sorry for being a pest im just trying to get a grow under my belt you know!!!

I would need to know the lumen output to provide a valid answer.

There's nothing wrong with having a personal preference but, whether they are strong enough or not, is not the issue... they are plenty strong enough if you use the proper wattage. :peace:

let me refraise my question i thought t5's were stronger dont know were i heard that at(imma dumb newbie anyway) the lumes on the single bulb t5 24 watt is 2000 so how many would be efficent enough to get my seedlings up and running till i switch to hps WITHOUT LOSS IN YEILD??? WHEN SHOULD I SWITCH FRM T5 TO MH/HPS im thinking right from under the t5s under the hps no need for mh really or is there???thanks JD

Just so everyone knows my goal is to try and hit an ounce per plant is that to much/hard to ask??i think i have enough to do that even for a newbie does that seem do-able for a new guy?

You could probably get by with one for every two seedlings. The fixture I use puts out about 10K lumens. It works pretty well for up to 8 plants.

If you've got enough light with the fluoro's, I would put them under the HPS after they show sex.

I would get through a grow before I set my production goals. If you've been following the threads, you see a lot of "weight numbers" thrown around... I don't believe most of them. They don't line up with my own experience. (Sorry guys... just sayin'...)
