New Grower New to forum, first grow journal of first ever grow!

Yeah I bought a liquid pH test kit. The first nutes I gave were pH of somewhere between 6.5 and 7, according to the colour chart. I had given the nutes prior to getting the test kit. Also tested the runoff from pot and it was matching bang on at 6.5. All further waterings and feedings will be pH at 6.5 using pH up and pH down as necessary.
At some point I'll get myself a pH pen to make things easier, but couldn't find one locally at the moment.
I'll post some more plant pics this morning sometime just to get opinions on plant growth to make sure there's no issues. Every time I see a leave leaving down a little or with a slight bow in it or an edge slightly curled I start to worry, but growth seems to be speeding up and looking good anyway.

I have noticed that the first set of single leaves seems to be starting to canoe. I can't remember what that means though. But there practically totally blocked by the fan leaves above them. They are also slightly color faded and faintly yellowing in spots, at least to my eyes. But I'm not seeing any signs of yellowing in any other leaves and new growth still seems to be pretty rapid, at least to me anyway. This morning will be second day since first light nute feeding and full soaking watering.

hey jingo
Old leaves always show their age, if all else is fine soldier on.

, would you mind if i posted some current pics in a few minutes just to get your adive on the health of plant and any possible issues you might notice that maybe i dont see. you seem to be following my journel well and seem very experienced, i would love the input just to make sure im on track........ah ill just attach a bunch anyway ha ha.
sorry for some of them being sideways, it seems to do that sometimes, no idea why!
in teh forst pic it looks like lots of yellow but thats actually just lighting.

Those are very healthy-looking pictures I think they're growing really well. You can probably water with clear water now and if you're on tangs easy feed schedule you may be able to start feeding next watering. You have good root development the plants are starting to grow good on top I think everything is looking quite good.

what do you mean by clear water??
and i actually fully soaked pot with runoff a couple days ago and gave it 1/4 strength nutes. my gut was just telling me to do so. even though it was against the advice of you and some others. but it seems to be loving it. i dont know what tangs easy feed schedule is but i just went1/4 the recommended dosage for small plant to 3 to 4 sets of leaves as posted on my bottles of advanced nutrients sensi grow two part nutes. i super glad to hear that things are looking good and strong. i decided that im not ging to top this plant this time, but instead just lst the main stem over and work with that. but since she never really stretched after sprouting much im probably going to give it another week or so before i start doing any training, i read to wait until the plant is tall enough that if bent over it would reach the imaginary side of pot, so guess thats what ill do.its growing its 4th set of leaves and sprouting its 5th set. yet still not even 3 inches tall, so im really glad it staying short right now, hopefully that will help in the end with overall height. im kind of excited to see how these things explode with growth when they hit thatc nrazy growth stage.
i believe if i remember right im two or 3 days into week 3 of growth

also my carbon filter and inline fan just shipped today from amazon so ill be prepared when the plant starts to stink lol. im actually suprised even now if i stick my nose to it or rub a leaf and smell my fingers it smells like a pungent mix of tomato plant and pot,ha ha.

I might have got you confused with somebody else I thought you were just giving Clearwater so far and we're wondering whether you should start feeding next watering. But yeah, like I say they look very healthy. There is a tendency among newer Growers to believe that nutrients push plants to get bigger. There is some truth to that late in flower, when we use Bloom boosters. Some are designed to put the plant under stress and make them produce bigger flowers. So if you want to push the schedule wait until you're in late flower, you stand less chance of harming the plant and stunting the growth and it's late in flower where the weight really comes on and it pays off.

yeah. the good news for me is that im in no rush to harvest or anything. if this plant remains healthy up to harvest im pretty sure it will yield enough to last me a year ha ha. im a pretty light tolerance user. and if the seed description was corrent this plant is supposed to be like 22% thc. so simply put a couple hits from a one hitter would have me blasted lol. ive read its supposed to be and a quote " a very narcotic stone, almost devastating"lol. at least thats the info that from world of seeds. its supposed to yield around 450 grams per square meter, i dont know what that would work out to per plant but one fellow on here who has grown this strain says he got a couple ounces or more off one plant. if i could manage that it would be a huge haul for me lol.

oh hey i was meaning to ask. when i ordered my nutes it was two bottels and i didnt realize that it was a two part mix. thought it was both veg and bloon nutes, but since cash is tight and i dont have the 60 bucks to buy the bloom nutes, is there anything that can be recommended for the blooming period that can be found at the local big box stores. that would work? or do i really need to stick to the really high end expensive stuff. for that matter, are bloom nutes even actually necessary and do they really make that huge of a difference to yield?

I could go with a narcotic Like Stone. Usually when the seed companies talk about meter squared they're talking about a SOG style of growing where you have 9 plants in a square meter. So you can kind of divide their numbers by 9 and get a rough idea of what you might yield.
