New Grower New to forum, first grow journal of first ever grow!

I could go with a narcotic Like Stone. Usually when the seed companies talk about meter squared they're talking about a SOG style of growing where you have 9 plants in a square meter. So you can kind of divide their numbers by 9 and get a rough idea of what you might yield.

well by my math that would work out to around 50 grams per plant, or just shy of a couple ounces, so that would fit what ive been told then. not to bad a haul for one plant, and i still have 6 more seeds of this strain. plus two freebie ones called something like cheese auto or auto cheese, no idea what it is but might try growing of of them next. i think it was some kind of a skunk number one phenotype cross. funny bit is that the very first strain i ever tried was skunk #!, i realy liked it found it to be a nice mellow high with a nice stone. i actually was wanting to get some skunk#1 auto but they were out of stock so got this afghan klush ryder instead. i always sleep well but anything that that really knocks me out and super relaxes me is always a great thing, so this current plant should do that in spades.

okay so i need a little help here, i just checked on my plant and it looks like some of the leaves are drooping good. its my first 5 leaf fan leaf set seems to be curling up but still a healthy green. i cant tell if this is overwatering or underwatering, i watered my pot fully with runoff the morning of the 25th, the soil has dried out quite a bit but if i dig down into it i can still feel some cool moisture in soil. could this just be meaning that i need to water? or did i somehow overwater and the symptom is just showing up now 4 days later? my gut is saying it just wants another pot soaking. but i dont wanna give it more until i can get some feedback. if it matters im using a 3 gallon fabric pot. all soil around edges and bottom is dry and crispy. and slightly cool with a little moisture if i dig down between plant stem and side of pot.

Really hard to tell from looking at the pictures. However, if it's under watering they will Wilt severely in a day or two. It doesn't hurt to let them wilt severely just to learn what a dry pot feels like in weight. If you are over-watering and you let it go a day or two they're not going to change much at all they might just slowly droop down a little bit more Or perk up just a bit.

So I guess my advice is to wait for them to either wilt significantly or not Wilt and that will be diagnostic. If you do get them to wilt significantly get accustomed to what that pot weight feels like and Water by weight.

yeah i currently have been using both finger in soil and pot weight, the pot is definitly feeling quite light when i press on sides i can hear the soil crunching. yet there is still cool sliught moisture more towards middle of pot when i dig down. humidity of tent has also dropped from 43 to 35% which is telling me a lot of water has evaporated out of pot, when i gave it its first full soak the humidity jumped and was steady at around 43%. im really leaning on the it just wants some water side of fence. but whats holding me back is that when it does come to symptoms of overwatering i dont know how fast the plant will show it. for reference the pictures i posted a couple days ago was two days after my full watering and the leaves were looking straight and strong. now today there looking droopy, still healthy just droopy.

Also temp is currently at 77f. or 25c, is that to hot for plant? it is usually at arounfd24 to 25 c

So if I'm hearing you correctly you watered more than two days ago and two days ago the plants were standing tall and now they're drooping. They also feel light and your hearing crunchiness in the soil. Sounds like you just need to water. If you're really on the fence as a test give one a little bit of water and see if it perks up, if it does then water them all till run off.

im only actually growing just one plant, but yes i fully watered pot with roughly 20% runoff the morning of the 25th. i posted a couple pics a couple days ago on here showing new growth shooting from the leaf nodes, and the leaves were looking perky. today there droopy. ive been doing a little more reading since i posted on here and im also thinking its just watering time. but ill try as you suggest and just give a little water around stem if i notice the leaves perk up then ill give another full runoff watering. how long does it usually take to see leaves start to perk up, im guessing if i gave a little water now. by morning they would probably perk up?

How much would you figure i should give it, half litre or so around stem as a test?
The more im thinking about it the more im thinking its just watering time, i did read that its hard to overwater plants in fabric pots becasue they allow a lot of air into the soil and roots.

well i deiced to go for broke and just fullt water, pot is way heavier now ha ha, sucker took just shy of 4 litres to full soak and get the runoff i needed. should be good for anout another 4 days or so i figure, ill monitor the plant tomorrow and see if theres any change. if y gut is correct im expecting the leaves to be perky again. plus itll boost humidity in tent to a better level. and i made sure my water was ph 6.5 bang on. also fed 1/4 strength nutes again

When I was growing in soil using fabric pots about every 5 days was good for a 5-gallon pot at your stage and about every 3 days once they were mature. So you were probably right it was just time to water and you can probably get on a regular schedule now.

yeah, my plant is having ts 18th birthday today! my pot is 3 gallon, so i figure in another 4 or 5 days itll need another soak. but ill continue checking soil with finger and by lifting pot. theres a serious weight doifference between fully soaked and dry. so eyah my thnking is same as yours, it was just needing a drink. since a little dry spell is good for their roots, ill probably wit until i see similiar drooping again as an indicator to water as well. i still cant believe how short this thing is, it still is only about 2 inches tall if that. so im hoping that this might just end up being a nice naturally short bushy plant. ill lst if need be but so far i couldnt do any lst if i wanted to since its still nice and squat. im hoping that maybe itll stay low enough that i can kind of let it grow naturally so i can get an idea of max height but if i need to lst i can. if it manages to stay nice and short then i can probably just bowl train the brances a bit to open them up to more light. every node is shooting out new growth from the seams now as well. its small but its there,

When i started this grow i had all these plans in my head of what i was going to do and when. but im learning very quickly that these plants have a mind of there own and you cant really plan ahead as much as you just have to work with what your given as plant grows.

Im using an app to help track my grow a well now. so ill just start posting pics in my journal from when it reaches 3 weeks old and then weekly after that. unless i need to post pics for any possible issues of course. i figure weekly pic updates will be a little more entertaining to look at.

well jingo, she sprung back like a champ this morning! was definitly just thirsty. looking much better and lively now :).
And i have no idea why pics keep posting sideways, lol.

Well now you know the correct weight and it's okay to water a little bit earlier than what you did[emoji106]
