Right on Jeff, so I think I'm right with that, today is day 3 of my grow then. Your harvest weight was very respectable from everything I read, especially after the issues you ran into lol.

Well hey Archie, nice to hear from you. Seems my grow log isn't getting the attention it used to haha. I'm hoping maybe it's because the more experienced guys feel I'm doing okay on my own lol. But I keep updating anyway. And yeah I'll be checking the trichs on my plant when I get home Friday or Saturday. Might look at harvesting it if I'm seeing mostly all cloudy trichs. Or I might let it go one more week, haven't decided yet. But I'm pretty sure it would be good to harvest now if I wanted to. At least it looks to me like the trichs are cloudy. I have to try and snap some pics through my loup and post to see what people think.
And I also went way way against the rules of autos and decided to try mainlining my new girl. It could be a disaster but was super curious. I have it trimmed for 4 Colas right now. Going to let it heal up, and then need to decide if I just want to leave it at 4 or try going for 6. It's just a small 1 gallon grow so might just leave it at 4. My hope is that if it works, the plant will produce 4 nice fat Colas. I'll snap some pics of the progress on the new girl as well and post when I get back. Could be interesting for some people to see perhaps. Haven't found much on mainlining autos. So here's hoping it works. The new girl was growing very fast and strong, so thought it was a good plant to test it on.

Hey man congrats on your 1st you did a great job. On my last grow I topped 2 autos a bubblegum and a cheese they took off. Big plants then my ex girlfriend destroyed everything

ouch sorry to hear that man, yeah luckily ive been the only one looking after my grow,lol. my new plant seems to be doing very well, just watered it and gave it a shot of nutes finally. so far the mainlining experiemnt seems to be going alrght, im not expecting maximum yield but since im a a couple days a week user a little lasts me a long time, my goal is to see if it actually grows denser more unifirm buds with less popcirn to deal with, so im hoping for 4 fatter denser colas. time will tell. its exactly 3 weeks old today, and im noticing its starting to throw out the odd white pistol so its famale and probably going to start pre flower soon, so now im just going to let it do its thing and remove any side branching from the colas as i see it, and once i see buds forming then ill just let it grow as usual. i was going to try for 6 colas, but since its an auto and your not even supposed to try mainlining them, i figured id stop at just 4 to maximize plant growth time.

well ill tell you one thing the water wreaks something fierce! but buds are still looking good. from what ive read the bud weight really drops over traditional air cure, been reading only about 15 to 20 percent weight retention. but although the weight drops more the percentage of thc remains the same so technically by math it makes the bud more potent, so you get less dry weight but also use less so kind of balances out. i figure another 3 or 4 days in the water and ill be transfering to food dehydrator for drying as is recommended. but ill let you know how it goes. my entire harvest is being water cured, so i figured id take one for the team for all those who are afraid to try it on a whole plant. im hoping for a very smooth low smell smoke. which probably isnt what some are wanting, but exactly what im looking for.

thanks for the kind words! ive got a watch on your thread so ill definitly pop in and check it out from time to time, i may not be commenting with much advice though as im still pretty newb, and theres many more experienced growers on here. i dont wanna risk giving you any bad info. but if there is anything i come across that im pretty certian of then ill be sure to chime in.

Hey possible dumb question. If I remove any side branching from a Cola to ficus growth on the main Cola stem. Will buds still form? Or does the Cola need those side branches for budding?

well the water curing was a partial success, it did work. but now my buds smell really gross,lol. im thinking maybe i didnt run the cure long enough or change the water often enough. ive taken a couple dried buds and put them back under water going to change out more often and run it a few more days to see if that was in fact the proble,. but aside from the odd stink, it does smoke easily
