New Grower My Very First Stealth Grow - Dinafem Blue Kush

UPDATE:

So it's been 4 weeks and 2 days since planting from seed. Since switching to the Mars 48 Reflector LED the bigger plant appears to have grown and is showing signs of flowering, so I've also switched to bloom nutes.

The bigger plant has also almost outgrown my 100cm in height tent!! Not sure if I should laugh or cry here..lol

But I've had to do some re-arranging and repositioned the plants out of the tent into a cupboard temporarily until I think of plan B.
They'll actually be fine in their but I am waiting on an RVK Fan Speed Controller, as my Rhino Fan is noisy and I don't need it on full speed all the time.

So hopefully that should arrive in the next couple of days and I will then feel happier keeping the plants where they are as I should be able to reduce the noise levels.

Anyway this is how they're currently looking:

Hi yeah, the bigger one seems to be growing a little each day in height as well as flowering. I'm going to have to take my plants out the tent and think of another solution.. is it too late for LST'ing the main stem? I'm wondering if I could attach the mid section to one of my tent poles?

And if this may cause any issues?

Well you can try and tie it down a little bit, this late in flower the branches tend to be stiff and can snap a little bit easier. I don't know if you feel confident nuff to try a super crop, but I use that at any stage of the growth. If you decide to try it you have to pinch the stem round and round and around slowly softening it up until you can bend it over just as much as you need to and then you'll have to tie it down because they usually pop right back up in a day or so.

Ahhhh. One of my favorite strains! Ohh the memories! Lol.. I had to top mine early on because of the height. Damn Dinafem and their awesome genetics! Haha.. I even super cropped a few colas in flower because I was running out of room. Autoflowers arent as fragile as they try to tell us. I treat mine like photos and bend them however I see fit. If you go with LST youve got to be careful not to break branches this late in life. But it can definitely still be done!

Thanks guys for your quick responses.. yeah it's a tough decision.. I think I will let her grow.. but I'm thinking of putting all 3 plants back inside my cupboard (more height & space than my tent) and keeping them there for the remainder of my grow.

This however really depends on if my Rhino Fan will allow me to make use of the Fan Speed Controller I've ordered online.. (expected tomorrow or Weds) without creating a loud hum.. it said in the description it's suitable for RVK Fans.. so hopefully it will work.
If it does problem solved.. minimal noise levels and I'll be happier..

Yeah the bigger plant is really beginning to take shape now.. it's exciting... and kinda worrying at the same time lol..

I was hoping the bigger one wouldn't grow so tall.. but oh well.. lesson learned.. next time I'll definately be using slightly smaller pots.. and will try SOG Method with perhaps 6 plants. But hey that's all in the future.. I'm more focussed on achieving this first grow now with few complications if possible.. and will be kinda relieved when it's over..

(Dinafem) Blue Kush - 6 weeks from planting update:

Ok, so this hasn't been the easiest of first grows, I've switched lights and grow boxes two or three times so far and did not fancy buying another tent, so since the bigger of the three plants had almost outgrown the tent and it seemed a bit late to LST, I decided for another plan..

So I made a temporary solution with my tent, I have decided to cut the lining at the bottom (having removed the tray) in an X shape, and have temporarily used a storage container to extend my tent.

I will later patch the X shaped cut at the bottom of the tent, using silver duct tape, and replace the inner removable tray.

Well here they are at 6 weeks from planting into pots so far so good

(My last update, a week ago stated it was 6 weeks, when actually it was only 5 weeks. I got a bit mixed up with dates unfortunately. The correct growth dates are shown below)

(Dinafem) Blue Kush - 6 weeks (43 days) from planting update:

The plants are doing ok, unfortunately I managed to snap of the bigger plants top stem, when taking it out the tent, but it's still ok, and was a bit of a blessing in disguise, as this plant was outgrowing my tent..

So had to buy a taller tent (that's the 3rd tent now during this grow lol).. good investment though, as I now have two tents, the third one was the initial tent I bought for this grow, and which I managed to rip, and then just got so frustrated I ended up cutting up the mylar material into squares, and will use those to patch future potential accidents that may occur for the two remaining tents.

The buds are flowering nicely, but i'm wondering how much longer I have for this plant? I read Dinafem Blue Kush runs for around 70-75 days, so currently it's around day 50 for my plants.

On a side note, I planted two seeds yesterday straight into pots and may create a separate thread for that grow:

1 x Northern Lights Auto
1x Black Domina auto


Here are some pics of my lovely blue kush, I've added BioBizz Topmax in with BioBizz Bloom nutes, and now also added some BioBizz Alg-a-Mic, so hopefully that will help fatten the nugs & keep the plant nice and healthy. Hope it smokes good too!!

bey buddy lookin awesome so far. glad your first grows went so well. not many manage to make it through without at least a few dramas ( i had fuckin loads) whatever your doing keep it up man. theres some rep for doing so well bud : )
