Hey everyone relatively new around here, but have been through going on 6 grows now. It's my first time with autoflowers as I got into them originally as a space filler between my photoperiods since recently moving and getting more space.
I originally started growing outdoor when I was too young to want to advertise on here, but I didn't do much other than plant, water, and pray... so the stuff I grew back then doesn't even count as an actual "grow" worth of experience in my opinion hahaha.
Got into indoor growing soon after acquiring my ACMPR for personal production at 12 plants in flower / 2 grams a day, and that's where I count my actual experience with growing beginning. I'm going to be re-applying in April when I go for my renewal, as I recently started making edibles and concentrates a lot more frequently. My lungs just aren't what they used to be. Having the extra room now also helps. (Especially in the kitchen oh my lord try making edibles in a 3x5 kitchen)
Have been addicted to my promix/coco combo mainly because I've been a pussy about going into hydro, and was almost always (unless I had bad deficiencies) using organic soil amendments, with added liquid calmag. I find that after using this combo 3 times for grows, the seedlings will always get that stem purpling going on until I introduce the calmag into the soil amendments. Always tricky when they're such young babes though.
BUT - I have recently started a non-organic line called "Reefertilizer", I saw a commercial for it on youtube which was absolutely hillarious after legalization and decided to give it a try. It was a tiny bit strong at full dose for the micro plants, 3/4 did fine on them watered at 1 liters each watering.2mL liquid calmag per liter, and I still can't help but use liquid karma. That shit (literally and figuratively) has done wonders for me in the past.
SO Enough about me, my set up, and more about my current photoperiod plant(s).
In my 2x2 tent, I have deemed it my microflower tent as I originally had 4 plants stuffed in (until 1 was confirmed as a true hermie
) So until the 2 micro plants in there are finished their flower cycle, it's going to stay as such. Then it's probably going to become either a baby veg tent, or I will get a good clone / veg combo set in there. I had to move after 25 days into veg, forcing them into 24 hour darkness so I said screw it and tossed them into flower. I usually do 24 hours of dark before flower anyways so it worked out I guess, it's been super fun seeing the dense nugs weigh down the tiny branches
I harvested the "Trainwreck" recently, it was a bagseed and should dry to be around 3/4 or an ounce and I'm really happy with the gasoline/dank smell my room is already beginning to get from it being in the closet.
The other two are some random fruity strains I had just labeled as "Fruity as f***" and "Hey neat a seed in some super dank" so I honestly have no idea.
The ones pictured in the 2x2 tent are currently in day 41 of "confirmed" flower, I may be a day or two off, week 6 is almost over. I'm expecting another week or possibly 1.5 till harvest so I've begun the flush hard on them since I've seen about 10% amber popping up so rapidly hence the discoloration in a few of the leaves as their sucking up all the remaining nutes
Super duper fruity smelling both of them, although the one on the left has a very distinct blueberry scent vs the one on the right having a grape and gas smell. Nuggs are getting so dense that the tiny little micro branches needed to be supported by a trellis net lol, a branch has already snapped off on each
I've also just begun (Sprouted Feb 21st) a couple of Coco Melon Fem seeds from Canuk Seeds purchased through truenorthseedbank.
They have been pretty strong so far, I gave them a little bit of water/light burn when I accidentally got a few specks of my spray on the beginning fan leaves, scared me a bit but they are perking right back up. They are sitting in the same medium they will be transferred into eventually, and they will be but into 10 gallon (40 liter) pots eventually. I'm really hoping for some giants out of these sativa main girls. The listing on the website lists them EXACTLY the same description as Chocolope, but I have a feeling it's just a mistake on the site. We'll see how the final smoke goes, I've had chocolope a couple times in the past so I can relate to it's grow methods.
I've also just ordered some Mephisto seeds though.... so we'll see what I end up doing with my time and space.....hahaha.
Yeahhhhhhh that massive wall of text is kind of intimidating even me so here's a tldr for everyone.
TLDR;
Didnt have space, moved, now I do. Forced into micro photoperiod grow, working towards perptual again.
2x4 vege / flower (Until perpetual, then just vege) - 3x 600w Philzon 600w LED + 2x 60 True Watts LED sidebars (sidebars not powered until well into vege) w/ extra blue for vege, stand up rotary fan, no need for exhaust fan just had to open top ducthole of tent. Stable 22-25 Celcius / Humidity control with steaming towel hanging on a step ladder aiming for around 60-70% currently . (humidifier busted recently and this has actually worked good haha) Currently only 1 light is on with both bloom and vege switches engaged. Currently on 20-4 Light cycle.
2x2 micro grow tent - Single 600W Philzon LED + 60 True Watts LED sidebar w/ extra red for flower, cheap rotating clip on side fan on high 24/7 always. Stable 20-25 Celcius relatively stable air humidty of 30-40% during flower everywhere in house. Just have to keep side ports and top port open for exhaust and airflow. Working good so far. Again, both bloom and vege switches engaged. Currently on 12:12 light cycle.
5x5 autoflower(currently) /photo vege tent (Until perpetual, then just flower) 1000w HPS, carbon filter, negative air pressure exhaust fan, intake fan on bottom(Non inline intake, just a honeywell air circulator on ground on high near bottom vent flap), 2 rotary fans (1 standing 1 clip on) Rotary on medium 24/7, clip on high 24/7. Currently on 20-4 Light cycle. Again, stable 24-27 Celcius a bit warmer as it's the HPS chamber.
Mainly using 20-4 at the moment because it's winter and it's easier to regulate the grow room / chambers. The HPS spits out tons of heat so it's working well with that tent being in the same room as the LED tents.
60-70% HP Promix + 30-40% Coco medium w/ Half inch rock and perlite layer on bottom to promote runoff.
Reefertilizer nutrient line up. Single liter watering about every 2 days in 5 gallon (20 liter pots).
Planning on putting the new coco melons into 10 gallon (40 liter pots). Only have a 1 liter spray bottle mixed with 2mL calmag and 2mL Liquid Karma for nutrients currently. Will last me about a week or two of sprayings if not more for the solo cups.
Micro grows are unidentified bagseeds I label'd as "Fruity as F***" and "Hey neat a seed in some super dank" - Both smell fruity, but "Fruity as F***" distinctively blueberry where as "Super dank" is a hard pick between grapes or straight diesel.
In this post are the Microgrow tent's pictures from today, March 2nd. I'll attach my seedlings in the next post.
Edit - I mislabeled leftclose3 as rightclose1 accidentally and double saved the same pic from phone durp
Also didn't figure out how to tag until now @RivetGrrl lol my bad
