Grow Mediums My First Hydro Grow

They actually don't look to far off the mark, All i can do is revert to my original comment of hold the feed for now and i'm seeing signs the PH has been out at some point. All in all it doesn't appear your doing to badly bud ;) :slap:

24 hrs still no sign of nuteburn. I'm not sure of the time frame for syptoms in Hydro. @derek420colorado @indicalVolz

The symptoms could range or rear there heads in a lot of ways not just burn from the npk but also the micro def or lockouts, twisted or deformed growth most like to blame genetics or perhaps some other factor, so if you start seeing anything majorly untoward ,i think you'll know ;)

Thanks, not going to blame genetics at all during this stage I think anything that makes it through week 1 is pretty stable. I haven't yet noticed any signs of harm. I did however notice nute stain? I hope anyways! I did put 10ml of micro in the solution which is pretty well the color of the roots. How do I tell if it's rot or pythium?

I did touch one root very gently to feel for slime or limp Ness and neither are present.

Just keep running them out man if that's how you feel .
I cant say with any certainty what it would be. roots get infected by disease (if that's what it is) all the time anyway it doesn't mean you wont get a harvest.
if it progress's and you feel somethings definitely up then you can take measures but that's entirely up to you ,always.

Thanks, I know I have been asking for your advice and did go against it with the feeding to early. I was just curious to the results. I do want you to know I'm definitely listening and learning from you and truly appreciate all the help!

You know something DWC is an art you make lots of mistakes to me theirs no such thing as pro's its just a style of gardening at the end of the day.You never stop learning and its fun to try new things hell i had just hand watered my babies and there way behind the mark now.

And tbh your feeding them might not be effecting them i cant say it is or isn't!
keep trying new things man you'll find your own style! the most important thing is just that you get a kick out of doing it because its fun as hell ;)

10ml of micro, 8 ml of grow and 5ml of bloom all advanced nutrients ph perfect.

I know I am a little late to the party but here is my 2 cents. I start my girls on 100PPM at day 3 from sprout. I use the HTG Rhizocore bucket tops. The net pot on these are a little different than a standard net pot. With this top my tap root is all ready in the bucket at this point and does not spend a week having to grow through the hydrostone! My first feed is with GRO(I run simple GH FLORA 3 part). Any rise in PPM after this first feeding is base off the plants consumption and NOT any feed chart. Looking over my last 2 grows I was at 280PPM on day 14. What is your PPM's as of now?

I see in your first post that you are using a 5 gallon 4 site bucket. I assume that is 4 net pots in 1 bucket based on how it's worded, is that correct? Multiple strains in a common rez can be touchy sometimes as the different strains will want(NEED) different PPM levels. Not to mention 3 plants jammed into a simple bubble bucket can run a bucket dry in 12hrs. My 3.5 gallon bucket filled nearly to the top with 3 gallons of solution will drink down 1 gallon in 12hrs!

As for your lighting and tent size. You are going to hate yourself pretty soon and it's tied together to those two items. I have learned this first hand myself. Like I posted on another growers thread the other day that even if grown poorly you WILL run out of head space. Over several different strains I have found with my MarsHydro 300w fixtures you need at least 18" from the top of the plant to the bottom of the light once flowering with a 56" tent it's not going to happen. Just be prepared for light stress. I grow in 63" of head space and with my Mars300w mounted at the ceiling a 30" plant in my shorter 3.5 gallon bucket puts the tops of my plants within a few inches of the light. I think I saw where you are going to hold out with the single light but I say go ahead and get another light now you have to many plants in there for 1 light. You will NEED a cal/mag additive. GH's MagiCal works well and has a good price point too. If you have a local HTG they should have it in stock.

1 bucket, 1 plant and 1 light is the best combo for what you have set up wise.

Just a heads up on what to expect......these are my last 2 Mephisto Grape Crinkles, each was 71 days from sprout. Grown under 1 MarsHydro 300w(180w version) and 1 DIY Cree cxb3590 fixture(100w) for 280w total.......
