These pics are from one of the bigger plants, I've just added water/nutrients 1ml per 1lt the run off ph was 6.0 but the water added was 6.5

Rough Calculation Guide: by GoAuto6

Here's some good info on ph.....
If your runoff pH is higher than your starting pH, use this equation to determine your soil pH:*
Soil pH = Runoff pH + Difference

If your runoff pH is lower than your starting pH, us this equation:
Soil pH = Runoff pH - Difference.

For example, say your the starting pH of your solution before it goes in is 6.5 and the pH of your runoff is 7.0. The difference is +0.5, so using the above equation:
Soil pH = 7.0 + 0.5*
Soil pH = 7.5

If your starting pH is 6.5 and your runoff is 6.0, your difference is -0.5 and using the above equation:
Soil pH = 6.0 - 0.5
Soil pH = 5.5

So if we run the numbers

6.5 in
6.0 Out
Difference = 0.5

Soil PH 5.5

(I just realised it's the same as the formula lol .. no need to run the numbers)

Looks like the soil PH is a bit low!

Just before we start upping the PH to 6.8ish (no formular here .. just best guess) - are you PH meters callibrated and accurate (and decent?)

Yes Jim - Just saw the latest pictures! PH problem almost definately!

Crinckly leaves, those blotches are possibly down to the roots not being able to take up nutes. The twisting was an early indicator.
Raise the PH of your feeds to

I'm guessing here

7.1PH in until the run off is 6.7PH out

That'll put the soil back to around 6.4PH.

(Bare in mind - i'm best guessing here - it's not guarenteed!)

6.5 in
6.0 Out
Difference = 0.5

Soil PH 5.5

I am using a chemical testing solution..

i'm so confused right now

So are you saying I need to get the ph in the water up to 7.1? then add until run off is normal?

Ouch! There lies our problem Jim .. you sound english :) .. you need one of these or better

Almost

Get the feed and water PH'd up to 7.1 then feed - you want the water to come out to be 6.7

This will mean (buy running the numbers through the forumular) your soil is around 6.4 which is good for nute uptake.

Deit: Maths .. using those numbers will get your soil to 6.3 (which is still golden!)

Ok, I'm just going to keep flusging it until I get the reading but at the moment i'm still get 6.0 after 3 flushes

I've done it 5 times now and no change at all

Okay - Leave it for now if you've watered 5 times with 7.1.

If there's no change, i can only imagine the PH readings are inaccurate. The only way to really know is with a calibrated digital PH meter - some people use an Accurate8 soil probe which are supposed to give accurate readings, but i've personally never used one.

Wait for them to dry a little and hopefully the raised PH feeds will work their magic and raise the soil PH for you. A lot of people consider the digital PH meter one of the most important things!

Test strips/ chemical PH tests are worthless because they are grossly inaccurate, they can be off by more than 1 full increment! Get a meter its the only way you can correct ph problems without making things worse. They only way you fix this problem without one is if you get lucky!

Add some garden lime to your next watering, it will take time, but the lime with help bring the PH towards neutral.
