New Grower My First Grow - x4 Dedoverde Haze 400w HID

My best advice for ya bro is don't cut anything the lower two branches usually stretch up later and form nice buds.... if I were you continental rotating them 1/4 to 1/2 turn a few times or daily... you can do fom fan leave tucking to help the light pent rate that will be good for now... if you want to conserve energy as you put it wait til the stretch is over and flower begins you can trim off a few upper fans for better light pen and trim off the small popcorn on the bottom so energy will be spent on upper bud developing... just sit back and take a breather bud your plants look great let them do there thing man

Not sure about the trimming bro but those plants look fantastic.. keep it goin ;)

Amen and amen! If you have space, a few CFLs will give a nice light boost to your lower leaves, Skurge. Some folks trim and thin, my preference is to add light and tuck some leaves. Even a light LST will help keep things open.
Your gals are looking great!

Thanks guys, did some tucking where I could, aside from that I think just letting them do their own thing will be best... It's getting pretty damn crowded, a few of the leaves are touching the sides of the tent and bending down, don't think there's much I can do about this (aside from trimming). Was thinking about maybe tying them down slightly (bending the plants in toward the center of the tent), but this would just cause them to grow into each other and probably do more harm than good. Definitely going to run x3 4 gal next time, which will allow enough space to have them all side by side instead of running 2 rows.

Day 22

Height range 7-12"
Last feed was yesterday morning (about 34 hours ago)
Each lady got 1L
PH Just under 6.0 PPM around 680-700

The PH drops a bit as I up the concentration of A+B, but I'm not too worried about it. I've seen people treat this mix like hydro (feeding at 5.8) and do just fine. AN nutes are also (supposedly) chelated to be available to the roots in a wide PH Range (5-8). I've read about people having issues when PH Adjusting this stuff, so just going to keep faith in the product for now and see what happens.

The pots are very light compared to after watering weight, but the top couple inches of soil is still moist so I'm going to see if they can make it until morning. Think I may have been slightly over watering, the growth has been a bit slow the past couple days, but it seems to pick up as the pots dry out. I've been doing more reading, and apparently letting the pots completely dry during veg is ideal (to the point just before wilting), and it's when they're in full bloom that maintaining at least 30% moisture is important.

I pulled some of the secondary growth out to the side, and tucked the fan leaves under. I've untucked one set as it appears being in that position for a while trained it to grow out to the side rather than directly under the fan leaf.

A little concerned about the leaves growing up against the walls and bending down, but I'm assuming this isn't going to do any harm?

Also, I'm not noticing any signs of heat stress on the new growth, I'm guessing this is due to the silicate in Rhino Skin. They were showing SLIGHT heat stress earlier on, and I'm not sure why. Temps at soil level are 77-79F, but likely a bit higher at the canopy, don't really have a way to get accurate readings up there. If my pale light sensitive skin can handle 3 minutes 2" above the canopy with no discomfort then I don't see why they were heat stressing to begin with.

:goodluck:The leaves touching the side is not a problem as long as your rotating daily they won't die off all of my plants touch the sides when they got a little older .. and with it getting crowded your setup will turn out to be more of a sea of green type deal with a bunch of thick buds sticking up above the rest.... that's when trimming the smaller popcorn buds underneath will help the upper flowers

And I wouldn't worry bout heat stress @ 79 they will be fine bro just keep that clip fan gently blowing across the tops

When trimming the popcorn nugs, I would cut the entire branch at the main stem right?

And the problem is that I don't have a fan blowing over the tops, the clips for these things are HUGE and clipping them on the corner supports isn't an option. I have them on either side at the bottom pointing toward the walls to create an indirect breeze. My hood is air cooled so I don't think it will be an issue, especially once I change to hps since they put off less heat.

Going to try to find a smaller fan or maybe duct tape one of these in place once the ladies reach full height

Yrleah getting a fan blowing the tops will help fight mold later to (ensure no mold starts) and no don't clip any main branches at the stem I'll find a pic and post it here to help

Here's a good example, you don't have to go this far but basically the stems are left alone to reach up and for a large nug on the end under your hps but the smaller stuff underneath not receiving much light is just clipped away ... or I leave all of mine it will still be covered in trichs and makes some killer hash after your grow and it can be done pretty easy with a little reach on hash making

I'd LST all of the plants to ensure an even canopy and maximize your yield by having multiple main colas, that's the only way to ensure all potential bud sites receive maximum light

I'd like to, but don't think there's enough room for it, pretty crowded as is. I might do a patchwork scrog later on with flex wire.

The runt grew 1 1/2" in the past 12 hours O.o, all the others put on about an inch, growth seems to really be picking up =]
