New Grower My First Grow - x4 Dedoverde Haze 400w HID

Day 25

Height - 12-16" - The runt seems to be catching up (or at least growing at the same pace) and has definitely entered stretch along with the other 3. However, two more of her roots surfaced and air pruned.

Just fed them about an hour ago, PH 6.0, didn't bother to check PPM this time, but I started 1.6 ml/l of A+B up from 1.4. Each lady got about 1L.

They seem to be drooping (usually only on the uppermost growth) directly after watering, but I'm 99.9% sure that I'm not over watering. They've still only been getting 1L about every 48 hours and the pots are VERY light at that point.

It's getting really packed now, a lot of the secondary growth is growing up against the walls. When rotating them I try to place the shortest growth toward the front/back, but at this point it isn't helping much. One or two entire fan leaves are pretty much flat up against the wall on the two in the front.

One of the ladies has a fan leaf on the secondary growth that is basically pointing toward the floor, but the same set on the opposite side is fine.

I'm assuming that when tucking fan leaves under, it's ok for them to be bent slightly sideways under the weight of the leaf that's placed on top?

The fan leaf that is pointing down, same set on the opposite side is larger and isn't having this issue.

One of the leaves that I tucked and is slightly bent at a weird angle.

Looking great Skurge.. real healthy shade of green ;) couple weeks time its gonna get packed big time in there man :) keep it rollin and ease up on the frettin ;)

I'm trying to ease up haha, my only worry right now is space.

Think I'm going to tie some of the secondary branches in toward the main stem using twine or something. With how they're branching out the ladies are running out of horizontal space fast, but if I can force the secondary growth to go more vertical I think it will help a lot. Can tell that a lot of these branches will produce some nice colas if I train them properly. Will post pics if and when I get this done.

Planning my next grow, and I'm thinking 2 plants in 7 gal air pots (7 equiv but 5 gal of medium). Most likely going to run Heavyweights Fast n Vast, Cream of the Crop Robocrop, and do some LST. Thinking a setup like that would utilize this space/lighting a lot better.

From what I was reading they have the potential to reach 5' under the right conditions... Guessing most of my girls will end up in the 1.5-2.5' range with how they've been growing.

My only issue right now is that some of the bottom secondary growth isn't getting any light... I don't think leaf tucking is even going to be possible with how some of the nodes are spaced.

So I'm thinking about just chopping some of the bottom most secondary growth so the plants aren't wasting energy on it, not sure if this could have any adverse effects.
I put a cfl next to lower branches when plant gets big

My best advice for ya bro is don't cut anything the lower two branches usually stretch up later and form nice buds.... if I were you continental rotating them 1/4 to 1/2 turn a few times or daily... you can do fom fan leave tucking to help the light pent rate that will be good for now... if you want to conserve energy as you put it wait til the stretch is over and flower begins you can trim off a few upper fans for better light pen and trim off the small popcorn on the bottom so energy will be spent on upper bud developing... just sit back and take a breather bud your plants look great let them do there thing man
I agree grew this strain lower buds turned out great

The ladies have been tied up!!!

Day 27

Height - 15-19"
Temps - 77-79F
RH - 50% High (after watering) around 42% Low (before watering)

So I used twine to tie some of the secondary branches in toward the main stem, it helped a bit with horizontal space and will hopefully prevent the ladies from getting much wider. They aren't as cramped now, and it actually helped get better light to a lot of the bud sites.

They just got what will likely be their last veg feed, plan to change the light over to SHPS tomorrow. On day 29 I'll flush each pot down to around 100 PPM (the base ppm of my tap water), and give each lady a 1L 1/4 strength feeding of bloom nutes! I was going to continue veg until day 31-33, but I think the last thing I want to do at this point is encourage these ladies to get bigger.

Following Tang's Feeding Schedule, and he doesn't start calmag until the 2nd feed after flush, but I think I'm going to start it at 1/4 strength along with Sensi Bloom A+B and Voodoo Juice for the post flush feed. Only because the biggest lady is showing what appears to be cal deficiency on two of the upper-middle fan leaves.

Not that great of a picture, but there's some brown spotting on this set of leaves on either side, and small white spots on some of the tips. I believe it's a slight cal deficiency and only appears on the largest lady.
