New Grower My First Grow - x4 Dedoverde Haze 400w HID

The ladies just went through their mid grow flush! It's nice to know that the hardest part is out of the way, what a project flushing is.

Initial run off was 1000+, flushed each pot until run off was down to 200-250 PPM (flush water 100-110 PPM) - took 7-8 gallons each.

Was shooting for 150-200 PPM, but I could only store so much water and I'm opposed to using it straight from the tap, even for flush. PH out of the tap is 8.5-9, but it drops down to 7-7.5 after being sat out and bubbled for 24 hours.

They each got a 1L 1/4 strength feeding of Sensi Bloom A+B, Voodoo Juice, and slightly less than 1/4 strength cal mag post flush.

They're looking pretty droopy at the moment, but I'm assuming that's normal? Pots were very light/dry beforehand.

Day 30

Height - 18-24"
Temps - 75-77F (Dropped a bit with the increased RH)
RH - 53-55% (Jumped to around 60% after yesterdays flush)

Light is currently about 10-16" away. Trying to keep it far enough for the taller girls and close enough for the shorties. Feels slightly hot around canopy level for the taller girls so I might raise it a bit later today or tomorrow.

Everything is looking good for the most part, soil is still pretty wet from the flush, probably won't be able to feed for another 2 days or so.

Only the biggest girl is showing signs of what I believe to be a mag deficiency?

The brown spots started on a middle set of fan leaves (spots appeared on each side/leaf of the same set)

The spots spread to the next set (one set above) within a few days, and there appears to be some yellowing, starting 1/2 strength cal mag with the next feed, wondering if maybe I should go full strength since this mix is about 30% coco, and the calmag tang uses is stronger than this stuff I think.

The pics aren't too great, it actually looks slightly worse than it appears. Will take pics under natural light in a few days if it keeps spreading.

I experience the same thing after flush. Watch those leaves if the spots get worse I would go full strength dose on cal/mag that's what it took for mine to stop spreading there looking good brother.

Thanks man, the first spots actually appeared before flushing I think, but just noticed the spread today. I gave slightly more than 1/4 strength post flush, will up to 1/2 strength and go from there if it doesn't get better.

Don't want to go full yet since one of the other girls is about the same size and isn't showing any symptoms

I was getting a bit worried about them after flush, the other two largest ladies were also starting to show signs of a mag def (yellowing between veins on pretty much all of the mid/upper growth), which from what I've been told is normal after a mid grow flush. During the flush my initial run off was about 1100 PPM, each pot got flushed down to around 200, and I only another 1L (650 ppm) feed to each lady post flush, so I think they got a bit starved.

Last night I fed them (against my better judgement because the soil was still somewhat moist), and oh boy did they need it. These ladies must have been hungry, many of the leaves that were laying flat or looking a bit droopy are now reaching for the sky overnight.

One thing I found odd, the smallest lady was just starting to show very slight signs of mag def on only a few blades of the upper growth. She's standing around 18" and it seems this will be her final height. The other 3 are all 22-25" and showed much greater signs of deficiency. I'm guessing it would make sense for the smaller plant to not become deficient as fast as the other 3? She's the smallest but looks the most healthy (I would say 70%+ of the growth on the other three is showing the yellowing between veins, one of them had some brown spotting), but she has maintained her dark green pigment, and seems to be further ahead in flower. Quite a few of her sugar leaves are starting to show trichomes, which are pretty much non existent on the others at this point. Also, this "shortest lady", is the one I named the champ early on, she still looks the healthiest, but got passed up by the runt who is now sitting around 22".

Day 34

Height - 19-27"

Took some pictures outside of the tent so you guys can actually see what's going on. The pigment on a lot of the upper growth has turned from dark to light green, with some brown spotting. The largest plant has it the worst, you can see the difference in color against the one in the background (which is also the smallest of the 4, lady in the foreground is the largest). A lot of the upper growth on the other two is also turning a lighter green, but no brown spotting.

Day 38

Well, I think the ladies are looking good for the most part. Some lower leaves are yellowing on the two mid sized ladies, "the champ" is still the smallest at 19" (and looks the most healthy), most of her leaves still have a very solid green look, the pigment on the 3 larger ladies seems to have gone a bit lighter. The nodes on the smallest also seem more dense (she's definitely showing a lot more sugar).

Height - 19" - 26" - 26" - 28"
Temps 79F
RH 45-50%

The feed has been PH 5.8-5.9 since flush and around 1200 PPM the past few days.

In Tang's Schedule he doesn't start the Bud Factor X until around day 45 (and at full strength), but think I'm going to start at 1/2 str a few days ealier.

Currently on 2 ml/l Sensi Bloom A+B - 1.6 ml/l Calmag - 1 ml/l Voodoo Juice - Big Bud - Carboload
Thinking I'll cut back Calmag to 1 ml/l and start Bud Factor X at 1 ml/l (1/2 str) next feed (also replacing voodoo juice with B52)
Will be starting Overdrive at 1/2 str about a week from now, will up Bud Factor X to full strength at that point.

Haven't referred to the ladies by their names for a while, but have been keeping track.

Pics kinda suck, definitely not catching any of the frostyness with this camera.

The Champ - 19"

Healthy as can be as far as I can tell. The other 3 are taller with larger node spacing and seem less dense.

Brown Spots - 28"

This is the only lady that has showed spotting, it doesn't seem to be spreading much anymore.

The Runt and The Runner Up - Both 26"

The pigment on these two and the one above turned a lighter shade of green after the flush, the yellowing leaves toward the bottom just started in the past few days (aside from the yellowing between veins on the two leaf sets in the third pic which has been there for a while.

You're doing a good job. They look happy. :-) my first auto was Dedoverde haze. Grew three. Got a bit over 13ozs dried and cured. Inhabe some pics if you'd care to see them. One got REALLY tall. Had to tie her over a bit but I didn't cut any lower branches. They caught up and had nice bud at the end. I'll be checking back to see your progress. Oh, mine did not like heavy nutes. But I was in hydro not soil. So maybe they take more in soil....
